Some movies you can't help but notice they got something wrong, wrong, wrong. If only they'd consulted an expert, say, like yourself, on the topic. You would've suggested, or stopped them from doing...what?

Hmmm... wrong wrong wrong. In that case, I would have told the entire cast & crew of Halloween 5 not to bother and just fuck off home.

*Insert Halloween 3, 6, House of the Dead, Return of the living dead series, Jason Goes to Hell, and Jason X to that list.
A lot of the newer horror films, I'd opt to SHOW the action sequence, and making contact slightly more than this quick-shit editing. The worst case scenario of that usage is in the non-horror film "The Transporter", but its being done in a lot of mainstream horror nowadays.
Of course Scream's trilogy fits into that, but the last film that I watched that did this was the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. I was dissapointed with the clothesline scene.
