Hey Arrow, I really agree with your reviews and I enjoy reading them. I am currently in post-production of my horror/suspense film "The Woods". I named this back in October before I knew of the other one named "The Woods" with Bruce Campell as well. But oh well it fits my movie too. Its not just your teenagers going in front of the camera and saying "look I'm making a movie" we really took our time on this movie. It has a story, pretty good acting, and it shot with a Canon Gl1 Digital, so its not your average camcorder. It has music, credits, and color filters in the scenes.

It is going to be about 70 to 75 minutes long. That is long for us since we only film on the weekends because of school and my friends schedules. But I was kind of wondering if you would review it for me when I am done editing it. I mean just review it in the board, not make an actual review, thats too much.

I would really like your input on the film, everyone who is seeing it thinks its great, but I live in a small town and everyone is like "wow you make movies!". I want an honest opinion of it, and I know you would do it. I would send you a copy of it for you to see view it.

Oh yeah one more thing, I like my movies to have real music, not crappy uncopyrighted horror music, so this movie has Elia Cmiral's score for Wrong Turn, Steve Jablonsky's score for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Elliot Goldenthal's score for Alien 3 in it. And it is in there without permission. I just wanted to tell you that. :D I know I shoud make my own music, but I really wanted this movie to have an impact and I felt this music does it justice. So if you view it be careful.

If you do not want to I will totally understand, I was just wondering. Just tell me what you want to do.

Here is a very simple plot overview of it.

Characters:
Kyle Lindley
Katy Lindley
Alex Johnston
Mike Moran
Phyl Cartwright
Jane Hudson
Carly O'Brien
and the two men that are the murderers.

Kyle and Katy take their friends and baby niece out to their dead grandfather's farmland just for the hell of it. No one has been there in years to check it out. So no one notices that the grandfather's old three story haybarn is the home of 2 men that are very very aggressive and really fu**ed up . All this leads to killing, traps, and revengewhen night comes.

That is just a simple plot overview of it, there are little twists in the movie to keep it more interesting.

But like I said, if you do not want to I will understand. I will have the movie completed by March 12, 2004. Next Friday.

Just reply and tell me what you would like to do.

Whoever wants to see it I will send a copy to, just make sure I don't get caught with the music, my butt could get in a lot of trouble, but its worth it. It makes the movie so much better.

I'll see if I can start attaching pictures to this thread to make the anticpation bigger. I'll try posting them sometime this week.

Hey and thanks for the warm welcome.

How's it stand up for gore effects? With me, I have to make all my own special effects so they aren't that good.

I mean, there is gore, right?

Why didn't you just get a low-budget music composer to do your music?

Im interested in catching the flick but as seeing im in Austrlia its probably costs to mutch to send it over from wherver you are. Still, if you have any friend who can make a good website, get them to do it for your movie, it can really help you get discovered.

Hey thanks for all of you being so enthusiastic about my movie. I wrote to the people in charge of the soundtracks and they never wrote me back.

I seem way to picky but I don't want low budget music in the movie, I want the good stuff in it. Chase and stalk scenes aren't the same with cheaper music you know what I mean?

I am ordering a CD out of a magazine titled "Suspense Music". Let's see how that sounds, I plan to enter the movie in Shriekfest 2004 in the fall and I plan to use that music no matter how bad it is. I mean if the movie is good the music shouldn't really make a difference you know.

The gore effects are fair, nothing special. But there is one scene in the movie that made everyone go Ew! There was not one drop of blood in it though, just a nasty sound effect. Oh and the thing that was happening in the scene was nasty too, especially for women. The sound effect made the scene what it was.

But for you guys I will send the copies with the good music in it, I really want the movie to be effective as possible and I feel this music does the job. I plan to be done by next Friday. Then I will start to make copies of it.

Oh and sorry if I don't reply right away. My computer at home is in disposed so I only use my school computer.:D

But thanks again for everyone being interested, I most definatley will be sending copies of this, we will just have to make the arrangements.
