I just want to buy some really self-aware bad movies. Could somebody please name some really bad horror movies that make fun of themselves and in no way try to take themselves seriously? Something with a plot like mutated ninja carrots from Mars take over the world or something like that. The humor should be quite non-stop.

I always thought KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE was shit and got the feeling the makers were taking the piss big time. Saying that whilst they were trying to be funny, I didn't find it funny at all. Give it a try if you haven't seen it though.

OH DEAR GOD NOT ELVES! Seriously, just say no to Elves. Badmovies.org put it best...

3 mins - Look lady, first of all "girls" can't be the "master race." It would be the "master gender" you rube.
7 mins - Shower scene! Pan down! Lower I say!
11 mins - Willy is bleeding from a cut on his shoulder and everybody just wanders out?
16 mins - Nobody notices a demonic elf meandering through the department store?
17 mins - Stabbed in the crotch... ...to death.
19 mins - Mike gets evicted from a camper! You have hit rock bottom.
39 mins - Somebody go and turn off the store alarm, jeez.
45 mins - How many bullets do these guys have?
59 mins - Kirsten, your grandfather is your father too? Yuck!
75 mins - Why does she have to run? You're kicking the crap out of the last Nazi.

Read that and judge if you think you'll survive it.;)

Anyway, check out There's Nothing Out There, for a great pre-Scream self-aware horror movie, and have fun.

Bad movies that are fun to watch...

1- Terrorvision - trust me, you wont be sorry you saw this, in fact....its not a bad film this film is great, but some people might consider it trash...I think its a hidden gem that everyone and their mother should see!

2- Return of the Killer Tomatoes

3- Return to Horror High - makes fun of itself and other horror films, worth a laugh...but its bad.

4- Any number of full moon productions among them:
a- Shrunken Heads
b- Head of the Family
c- Creeps - think of the classic universal monsters...but in midget form.

5- Troll II - this movie is beyond bad...but I guess if you start making fun of it...you might actually enjoy and bust a gut at how horrible it actually is.

Thank you all very much. I`ll probably go with Return of the Killer Tomatoes and not just because the shop I order from only carries that movie from all of what you listed, but because it really sounds fun. I have actually seen it a while while back, but can`t remember if it was any good and now that spacemonkey recommended it, and it`s pretty cheap, I`m almost deffinetly going to buy it. Thank you all very much!

Get ready for some cheesy fun dude, and be on the look out for George Clooney on his first role!

Xipe, if you can look for Terrorvision youll love every second of it! Its funny and has good monster effects! Youll see what I mean when you finally check it out.

I have Ankle Biters, it is ok but some scenes run way too long than they should.

Yeah, I`d be interested in getting Terrorvision, but there is no way and no place I could buy it at the moment.

JIGSAW from FILM 2000 (CHARLES BAND'S COMPANY) is a fun dodgy film. It features some kind of robotic killer with weapons and shit attached to his body. He's called JIGSAW cos a bunch of students built him together out of any old bits they could find. Or something like that!!!! It's quite funny, unintentionally, but I almost found myself creeped out during certain scenes too!!! But it definately is the lowest of low budgets.

Terrorvision is a riot , spacemonkey !!!! I bought it for two dollars and couldn't get enough of Lizard Tails, Mary Woronov in a naugahyde dress playing a swinger, and that stupid creature.

Ahhh, I love when Medusa comes on and they focus in on her talent...the Puttermans even have the Madonna esque daughter played by Diane Franklin!!!!

Stef, I really cant get enough of this flick either! Its great stuff!

One of my favorite characters is defeneatly Medusa, shes just so skanky and cheap! But she looks great, I wish Id have another horror host the likes of her or Elvira, they should bring that type of show back to TV!

Funniest part: Od trying to get the creature to listen to heavy metal...hah!

Spacemonkey,
You can call to me as Lady Summerisle if you want. I won't be confused.

TERRORVISION has the best swinger Euro trash couple in the world, and a theme song that kicks it.
This is what pawn shops are for!

Shame I can`t buy Terrorvision anywhere. It sounds like a really cool flick. Anywho, I ordered Return of the Killer Tomatoes yesterday.

In case I find myself in a similar problem - is Jack Frost worth buying? The plot is really promising - a killer snowman, but is the movie up to the title?

By the way, there are a couple of things that totally turn me off when watching bad movies - they can have bad acting, laughable plot, cheesie special effects (that`s all good), but they shouldn`t be neither boring nor have just lame toilet humor going for them.

Anyhow, the following movies are often considered bad, but not in the same sense that I was looking for earlier. If I could buy one of the following then what would be the best choise?

Zombie Flesheaters 2
Zombie Flesheaters 3
Zombie Dead
Zombie Nosh

ok....I`ll add Jack Frost to this list. So what should I buy?

I'd have to recommend my favorite cheesefest:

Plankton aka Creatures from the Abyss (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0198913/#comment)

I don't think I could do the cheese any justice by trying to explain it.

Rent it if you get the chance!

Renting is quite out of the question. If they have it in Blackstar then I can just buy it.
And with Creatures from the Abyss the case is that they do have it in Blackstar and it`s only £3.99, so when I have some spare money, I am probably going to buy it.

Cheesefest type movies are not usually my bag, but I have a soft spot in my heart for this one, it is friggin hysterical.

I don't want to spoil anything for you but I think the sound editor was on crack at the end of the flick :)

Student Bodies is another pre-Scream entry in self aware humour thats funny if you've seen the older slashers.

Watch out for the babysitter, WHO DIDN'T DO THE DISHES!

Question for spacemonkey

***SPOILERS****

Does this movie end with the bad guy winning or something like that? I remember a movie from when I was a kid and at the end I THINK the monster took some ladys head or something and got in a car and got away. I may be WAYYYYY off, but I've been looking for it for so long.

***END SPOILERS***

rtatick,

I may not be spacemonkey, but I can answer your question.
SPOILERS!!!!!!!
Medusa kills the only alien from Pluton that can harness the Hungry Beast. Both Putterman kids and Medusa are consumed(off-screen), and Medusa gets in her limo as the Hungry Beast and orders the chauffeur to drive. The Beast conquers dumb 80's kids!

Good ending for a cheesy, funny flick.

Well Amazon.com has it for $22.49, and E-bay has one copy for $18.99. Trust me it's worth the price, it has alot of extras.

I haven't seen Zombie Dead, so I can't give you an opinion on that one, however I have seen the others and they are absolutely fucking shite, IMO - especially Zombie Nosh! **braces for a beating from Romero&Juliet** ;)

Is Zombie Flesheaters 2 known as Zombi 3 in America? If so, it's mildly entertaining. Jack Frost is your best bet, though.
