Well, I've seen the first one (have it on DivX). I didn't like it that much...
The sequel looks amazing, but I don't know... I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

Great music, though.

Ive been looking forward to it ever since i heard about it. Ghost in the shell was so great and this one looks so good. This will be enjoyable just because of the brilliant animation.

My boyfriend photographed a nekkid Japanese porn star to promote this movie. If the photo's go online I'll be sure to link y'all. She was oiled up to look like a sex doll...nice.

The London premiere was last night, my bloke was due to go to Paris so I gave our tickets to a Manga-loving buddy of mine. According to him, the movie was great...and the crazy Japanese beat-boxer/DJ at the aftershow party was even better.

Sounds like a fun job. :D

As for the movie. I have it on DVD and have been meaning to watch it for a while now. It looks visually stunning and i've been trying to rekindle my interest in anime of late so perhaps this would be a good place to start.

I just got done watching this. It's a work of art. I won't pretend that I totally understood every single facet of the movie. There are a lot of pretentious philosophical musings scattered throughout this movie and I felt that it slightly overplayed it's hand in this respect but taken from a purely visual standpoint this movie is one of the beautiful pieces of animation ever created. Every frame has been painstakingly composed and the end result is some of the most striking imagery i've ever seen. My eyes just drank this movie in. Seriously...if you can set aside the rather opaque nature of certain plot aspects and enjoy the movie purely as a feast for the eyes then I urge you to see it immediately. This is particularly true if you are a huge fan of animation in all it's forms and enjoy seeing movies that push the envelope. This doesn't so much push the envelope as rip the fucker up and create a new shinier envelope. One with wings. If you want to read a review of this movie from another perspective read Joblo's opinion. He hated it. I can understand why but it really worked for me. One hundred percent.

A score? 4.5 out of 5

AWESOME A SECTION FOR ANIME awesome. Now, I think innocence was horrible, overused, horrible cgi, it didn't capture me the way the first did, and it looked better too.
