At this moment, Amityville II is on AMC, and I have a question for those of you schmoes in the know...

In the real life trial of the murders, did they really use "the devil made him do it" defense?

Well basically yeah. Ronald DeFeo, Jr. said that there were voices in the house which pressured him to commit the murders. A year later after his arrest when it was time for his trial, he pleaded insanity.
