View Full Version : The Burning is comming out on R1 DVD!
According to the folks at Horrordvds.com it looks as though the long awaited (by me anyway) release of The Burning is going to happen in 2005. Here's what is so far known (it's not much).

For 2005, expect to see both The Burning and Howling II get DVD releases from MGM. No details on these, but I'm sure we can at least expect OAR presentations.
It's about a year away, but since I've been waiting for this since I heard about The Burning in 2001 (and quickly found out there was no R1 DVD release), I can wait a little longer.

This will finally give me a chance to take a look at this film that i've been pretty curious about for a while. Hopefully it will be uncut as folks say that's the only way to see it.

I have it uncut on VHS, and yes, uncut rocks. Tom Savini is a damn master at his trade. It's all about the raft scene.

MGM isn't so trustworthy when it comes to releasing films in their intended format. Both Deranged and Shredder were carved up, and I'm sure that they've incised other titles that I'm not aware of. Still, I must commend them for releasing this flick at all. Perhaps they'll spare us.
All we can do now, is hope for the best. *crosses fingers*

But they did give us Last House on the Left uncut. Here's hoping they do it with The Burning to.

I think they will release this uncut... At least I hope...
They were the ones who released the VHS from Amazon some slack, so they would probably do the same thing with this DVD...
