Dude, you forgot the crappy fight at the end where Freddy gets stabbed with his own glove by his daughter. Plus the crappy stop-motion dream demons. And the crappy 'Kids. . .' line before Freddy blows up.

Freddy escapes and kills that bitch of a daughter and the girl and Yaphet Koto... not but I wish it would've ended that way.

Why were there so many survivors in this one anyway? That annoying blond chick and Yaphet Kotto should`ve gotten it.

Also, right after someone says "Freddy`s dead", the screen goes to black and the movie just STOPS! That`s it. Pretty lame, New Line.

And, for whatever reason, after that movie came out I kept asking my other 10 year old friends how he died (to test them, I knew already) and they kept saying he got runover by a truck. Can someone explain THAT please? Its been buggin me for years!

Maybe it`s because they saw the scene in the advertisements where the bus "runs over" John Doe near the beginning, and they thought that was Freddy getting run over?

Spoilers.

Maggie Krueger puts on 3D glasses (this is when the audience puts on their glasses) and falls asleep. Then she travels into Freddy's brain, watching numerous events in Freddy's life that none of us have ever seen. Including him killing a hamster with a hammer, and self-mutilating himself - which has one of my favorite lines in horror "Wanna know the secret to pain? If you just stop feeling it, you can use it."

Then she meets Freddy and pulls him into the real world where the guy that everyone for some reason thinks is Kincaid (NOES 3, 4) and the chick that could kick Buffy's ass, and Maggie trap Freddy in some kinda big cage thing. Maggie locks herself in the cage while the doc and the chicks toss her weapons under the gate. Throwing stars, throwing knives, a crowbar, a bat with a nail run through it, and finally a pipe-bomb.

She stabs Freddy with the pipe bomb and says "Happy Father's Day" (wasn't this movie released in April?). She bails and Freddy says "...kids." and blows up and the dream demons escape.

Am I the only person that loves this scene? Cheesey, yes. Unfaithful to the original Freddy, yes. But I saw this movie when I was 9 years old, and for years Freddy had plagued my nightmares. Seeing him get beaten so badly and then finally blow'd up with a pipe-bomb was kind of refreshing. When I watch it today, I just laugh. Good fun.

More Spoilers

Oh and we can't forget about the end credits sequence. "Freddy's Dead" by Iggy Pop plays in the background as clips from previous Nightmare films are presented. This is really cool to me because it's all really dark and if you compare the clips in the montage to the actual films the coloring contrasts are completley different. And that Iggy Pop song is catchy, too. It kinda has that "Paint it Black" sound at some points in the song.
