I think Signs and Frailty are similar in some ways. They both came out the same year. They've both got a wrinkly dad with a couple of kids, a rural setting, spooky direction and great stories. They also have no gore and no sexy ladies (bah!)....

I want to know which one people think is best.

Signs (8/10) by far.

Frailty (5/10) was, IMO, overrated.

Frailty by a very looooooooooooooooong shot,

Signs was a pile of shit, very very disappointing throughout, especially the ending whereas Frailty is a marvelous film that gripped me from the beginning

Frailty didn't have the bullshit plot holes like Signs did with the aliens.

Signs is more entertaining, but Frailty is more shocking and enthralling... it's a tie for me.

Both very good but if I was forced to pick it would have to be Signs. I have a 56 inch TV with Boston Acoustic Dolby Surround in a room with windows all around. When I put that movie in at night it still manages to give me the chills, and every now and then look out the windows to make sure nothing is out there.

I went with Signs. It's funny, spooky, entertaining, gripping, and more rewatchable than Frailty. Both however are high 8/10's and lay on the outskirts of my top 100.

SIGNS

Both very interesting though definitely. Having just come back out of the south after 7+ years; both films affected me differently.

Signs was way more effective. The only part in Frailty that kind of got me *SPOILER*

was when the other, younger kid picks up the axe and starts killing that guy.

Whereas Signs had me keeping my stereo on at night for weeks.

Sidenote: What's interesting about Signs(and before I post this I should note that I am not religious in any manner whatsoever) is that whereas most films about aliens argue against the existence of god, M Night's film uses aliens as an argument for religion.
I think that's pretty crafty.

Frailty uses religious fanatacism as a template for the proof of real evil. It succeeds. But I've heard certain reactions like it says "it's okay to kill in the name of religion", which, while I can see how they can come up with that; I find it pretty ridiculous.

Frailty. The story was truly original and there was no need for any aliens or any *interesting* plot fillers. It was a character based piece and a wonderful one at that.

frailty was a much more kickass movie, that ending was awesome! signs just paled in comparison, especially in light of how awesome unbreakable was.

Frailty-8/10
Signs-7.5/10

Both very good flicks, but I have to give the edge to the underrated Frailty.

Signs was a trip to illogical hell for me.

And that has nothing to do with actual Aliens, just his thought process with them.

Equal.

Signs is one of the most misunderstood movies I've ever seen. You have to understand the concept of "Faith" to understand this movie.
