Day of the Dead V.S Return of the Living Dead.

Decisions Decisions. I know most of you prefer Dawn of the Dead to most Zombie movies so I thought I would make it alittle more interesting.

it was tough, Day is part of my favorite trilogy, but I have to watch Night and Dawn before I watch Day, I can watch ROTLD anytime, so yeah my vote is ROTLD

The Return of the Living Dead - 8/10 is very entertaining and funny with a kickass ending and memorable characters.

Day of the Dead - 5/10 was a boring and plodding mess with annoying characters. The only saving grace being the zombie and gore effects.

Day of the dead all the way baby! Day was gorier, darker, had better characters, and was more engaging. Day kicks Return's ass any day of the week. Also it was more original. "Choke on em!" "You want me to salute that pile of walking puss, salute my ass." I like Return but Day is clearly the better movie. Strong social commentary and new themes not yet explored in zombie movies. Romero is the king and no one can possibly ever compare.

Return of the Living Dead is one of my most favorite horror movies ever. Day of the Dead isn't bad though, just kinda boring with some really annoying characters.

I thought return of the living dead series was a slap in the face to zombie genre fans, and ruined much of the zombie fanbase.

Because of films like these, I have trouble getting friends to watch zombie movies because he thinks they all run around screaming "Braaainsss"

I can see how people looking for a fun movie would pick Return, but Day is by far the superior film in every way. It's intelligent, sarcastic, the effects are amazing, and it's very bleak and depressing. If you have only watched this movie once give it another go.

predictable, slow, filled with unlikable characters... ROTLD suffers from none of these.

Day of the dead= Intelligent, thought provoking, gory masterpiece
Return of the living dead=dumb, spoof, with bad looking zombies and very little gore.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Return but Day is just so much of a better movie. Plus Day was made for less and is more impressive.

Well I'm not gonna try and convince a man whose favorite movie is Day that ROTLD is better but you did but an amazing scenario in my head. What if Returns FX were done by Savini. O the possibilities.
