No one is saying why are they? My favorite performance of all time is by Jimmy Stewart in MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON as I've stated before...very honest performance and moving also...
My favorite female performance is a tie between two performances by the same actress. Emma Thompson in SENSE AND SENSIBILITY and HOWARD'S END... both are amazing. Her face is a kaleidoscope of emotion and I think she is debatable as the greatest actress of all time.
