well...I know everybody has their own tastes and opinions. But THIS IS SPINAL TAP is one of the worst films of all time you say???? Are you kidding????
That is a comedy classic. Brilliant mockumentary of the heavy metal bands of that era. I laugh every time I watch it.

the Clown - The key to a lasting comedy classic is the dialogue. Jokes will always become dated, but as long as the dialogue is well delivered a film wil always be funny. A case in point is Spinal Tap.
Also see Withnail and I for such an effect. No great 'jokes' as such, but wonderful performances and script.

the best films of all time are godfather,the matrix,tommyboy,and die hard,these are just off the top of my head right now i'll think of some more later. worst would have to be Clueless, in dreams, charlies angls, runaway bride and godfather part 3.
