Which version is the best to own for overall picture/sound quality. I made the huge mistake of buying the 30th anniversary edition and hate it. I believe the millenium elite edition is the supposed to be the best, but i'm not sure, i've never seen that version. Also....do they make a directors cut of Night of the Living Dead or Day of the Dead. I do have Dawn of the Dead directors cut on DVD which is out of print until the new edition comes out later this year. I'm just curious to know if there are director's cut versions of NOTLD and DOTD.

There's no director's cut dvd of day of the dead. I think the millenium edition dvd would be your best choice.

Get the Millenium Edition for NOTLD.

Wait until fall for the 3-disc set of Dawn.

Get the current 2-discer of Day. I heard it's great.

The NOTLD Millenium Edition is the best one out there but it is very expensive, although i consider it worth the money, some other might not.

I don't know if you already got, but I've heard every indication that you should avoid the version of the movie that adds 15 minutes of new footage, but deletes 15 minutes of footage. I don't remember which version it was, but I think it was the 30th Anniversary edition

The two disc set for Day of the Dead is some good shite. Has some lovely extras. I bought the recent release of Dawn of the Dead on DVD. Nothing too special but a decent buy. If you can't wait that is. As for the NOTLD I've got the old bare bones DVD. Can't even find a pic of the cover to show ya so on that one I'm no help.
