Batman on Film has all the latest gossip that has emerged over the past week in regards to the most awaited of superhero projects on the way - Warners' "Batman Begins" currently in production in the UK.
First up comes a rather cool description of the costume for The Scarecrow: " I've got--a concept drawing of The Scarecrow in FULL costume. [It seems] The Scarecrow will appear in FULL costume during a [fear gas induced] hallucination towards the end -- Arkham perhaps. Also got to see a pic of the actual mask--let me say this thing is f'ing disturbing; really, this thing will scare the s##t out of you. It's a very dark drown, it had no hat and no hat will be with the sack. The eye holes were scary to look at with no eyes, so what they will look like with eyes is anyone's guess. But rest assured, this mask fits in well with the other costumes I've seen, [as it] doesn't look stupid or comical--this thing it disturbing".
The same source went on about other details which fans will love: "The "WB suits" have decided on releasing a pic of Bale in the Batman costume--although the timeframe for that is unknown. Perhaps this summer. Also, the alleged Dent cameo--if it takes place--will occur during a scene between Rachel Dobson and D.A. Finch. Dent's potential cameo could be easily inserted in such a scene. Shooting in Chicago will take place for six weeks in July".
It now appears that Rutger Hauer has landed the role of Earle, the custodian of Wayne Enterprises whose manuevering to remove any chance of Bruce taking control. Its expected other minor roles in the film such as Falcone, Comm. Loeb, D.A. Finch, etc. will be announced within the next month or so.
Some images which emerged of a potential Batmobile have since been proved to be fakes.
Finally in great news for fans, ToonZone reports that the "Batman: The Animated Series" box-sets will start coming out this Summer. Three sets in all, each containing 24-28 episodes on four discs per set which will contain the entire series run of the show. Expect interviews, commentary, videography about villains and heroes, and much more as well.
My god now The Hitcher/Roy Batty himself has joined the cast.

Jebus - between this and the proposed cast for Sin City it sounds like there wont be many major actors left in Hollywood to do anything else!!! ;D
