Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
Batman: Sub zero
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
Batman and Superman: World's Finest
These are the cream of the Crop, but all animated series episodes were pretty good.

I heard that Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker was heavily edited by the WB because it was too violent, is that true?

Yeah, I heard the same thing about the editing thing. It probably would have been better without it, if it is in fact true. Anyways I'll say BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM.

Ive only seen Batman Beyond and Sub Zero, so I'll go with Sub-Zero, on account of I HATE Batman Beyond.

Mask of the Phantasm IMO is the definitive Batman movie.
Return of the Joker was decent, but the flashback alone is worth a view.
Subzero seemed like more of an action film to me, but I havn't seen it in a while.

Yeah, they released an Uncut Version that was really good. The changes made all the difference in the story.

Mask of the Phantasm is the definitive Batman film. Return of the Joker is also fantastic, especially in its uncut form. Some of the crap Joker does to Robin... *brr*

I would say Mask of the Phantasm, but I'm such a HUGE Joker freak that Return of the Joker wins it for me.
What was cut out of BB: Return of The Joker? I'm just asking because I have the normal version and not the unedited version. Can someone help me out please?

SPOILERS
It's been awhile since I've seen the edited version of ROTJ, but I remember many scenes being slightly changed. When The Joker kills off one of his henchman early in the film, it's done in a cooler way in the uncut version. In the edited version, during the flashback scene, The Joker gets killed offscreen by being electrocuted. In the uncut version, it's actually Tim Drake that does him in. It's pretty much the most dramatic change from the edited version.
And IMO, that scene alone makes the uncut ROTJ a must buy. The fight scenes are a bit longer, and flow better. There might be some others I'm forgetting about, but overall it's just a much darker film than the edited version.
END of SPOILERS
1. Phantasm
2. ROTJ (uncut)
3. World's Finest
4. Sub Zero

Mask of the Phantasm is a masterpiece.
Batman Beyond : Return of the Joker was a lot of fun. The flashback sequence was extremely good.
Subzero had its moments and was enjoyable enough.
World's Finest didn't do it for me.

Worldīs Finest has a great first half, introducing the charachters and how Batman and Superman discovered there secret identities, but the Luthor-Joker part was really bad.
Sub-Zero was how the Batman & Robin movie couldīve been but wasnīt. Great action, nice chemistry between Batman and Robin and Freeze was a great villain, mad but human (learn Arnold).
Mask of the Phantasm: Just great, the rythm, characters, more Bruce Wayne then Batman wich was nice. And the clasic fight Batman against Joker. PERFECT

Mask of the Phantasm is the ultimate animated film in the Batman series. It came out when the Animated Series was at it's golden state and had great marketing quality. It's cut in a peculiar way with plenty of flashbacks about Wayne's past and has a great score to it.
Sub Zero is only 1h and 7 min if I remember correctly because that royally pissed me off when I bought the VHS a while back. It's got a first great half before they get on the offshore facility but then it just breaks loose.
Return of the Joker is great, non only that Batman Beyond was amazingwhereas Spiderman Unlimited failed to work, Beyond has a great sense of neo punk cyber shit to it. Return of the Joker is filled with New Batman and Robin footage which is awesome.

Batman Mask of the Phantasm has always been my favorite because it was what made me love Batman. The story in this one was so awesome it could have been a live action if they really wanted it be, but it just adds to the resume of the incredible Batman: the animated series, which I always thought was the best interpretation of Batman, before Begins of course.

Mask Of The Phantasm
I'm a soundtrack fanatic and I own the Mask of the Phantasm. One of the best friggin' scores I've ever heard. Shirley Walker is up there with the likes of John WIlliams and the other greats.
