If you were to cast a Halloween remake...

Okay, we all know that we DO NOT want Hollywood to remake Halloween, however I do think it will eventually happen, but that's just a side note.

All of the opposition aside, if you were given the daunting task of selecting a suitable cast for a remake of the horror classic, who would you choose?

My ideal cast would go something like this:

Evan Rachel Wood as Laurie Strode
Scarlett Johansson as Annie
Kaley Cuoco as Lynda

with a roughed up Johnny Depp as Doctor Loomis
and possibly Jamie Lee Curtis turning in a cameo as Ms. Marion Whittington...

As for the second casting, that may seem like a bad idea, but consider this: Duff will have to act like the slut that she most likely is, and all of the hatred for that bitch will pay off when Michael does her in. And since this is the "new age" (shitty phrase), strangling her with a cord won't ge enough, oh no. We'll get something sweet and nasty like getting her head smashed through a window and then impaled with a bed post or something.

My ideal casting for this more-than-blasphemous endeavor, should it actually occur (I foresee murder in the future, and not in the movies...):

Laurie - Keisha Castle-Hughes
Dr. Loomis - Ving Rhames
Annie - Lexa Doig
Lynda - Jessica Biel

Someone else suggested Johnny Depp as Loomis, which was hard for me to imagine. AS much I'd like to see it, Loomis has to be an older guy. Christopher Walken as Loomis, anyone?

I don't know if I'd cast Hodder as Meyers either. He's a much bigger guy then the Shape role calls for. It's hard to say who exactly I'd cast in the role of the Shape. Don't flame me, but perhaps Ken Kirzinger?

Casting Laurie is a bit of a difficult task, as is the entire thing. Somebody innocent. Maybe Sarah Michelle Gellar?

I'm having trouble with this one...I keep going back to the original going "there is no better, i don't wanna *wahhhh*"...but I'll give it the good ol'college try lol.

I'll take Johnny Depp as Dr. Loomis..he's very good at that kind of acting. He can look insane, intelligent, even funny when the occassion calls for it. Noone could ever match Donald Pleasance in this roll, not even Johnny Depp (who is my favorite actor), but I think he'd do a nice tribute to him. Plus it wouldn't be any hardship for me to stare at his hot ass for 2 hrs if i had to sit through a remake....;)

Laurie is a really hard one. You need the innocent young girl, but not so famous it practically wrecks the whole movie. Which is where this comes in I have no idea what her name is...but imagine a grown up little girl from Halloween 4? I can't remember her name for nothing, but I think she'd be perfect. Hell, she was good then, imagine how good she'd be now?

Lynda could be played by pretty much any slutty girl in the Hollywood repitore without missing a beat. Paris Hilton maybe, just so I can see her get killed a bloody seriously painful manner...(hey it's my remake and i would looove to see that lol)

Annie could be played by Jessica Biel. I think she has the right attitude for it, and the acting skills.

Bill Paxton is definetly a good sheriff pick, have to stick with that one.

The Shape could be played by pretty much anyone and we wouldn't know the difference as long as he was at least a medicore actor lol. If I had to pick tho, I'd choose Kane Hodder, I just love that guy heh.

-He's got the right level of physicality and the general build for it. He might be a bit to "bulky" however.

Sherrif Bracket- William Forsythe.

-He's good at playing the "authority" figure type role. He was fantastic in The Devil's Rejects and he'd be just as solid here.

Dr. Loomis- Ewan McGregor.

-Ewan is a genuinely good British actor. He'd have, at least, a reasonable amount of what made Pleasence such a good actor. He can deliver even the goofiest of lines with a straight face (George Lucas, I'm looking at you) and he shares somewhat of a similarity with Pleasence in both age and stature.

Laurie- Gina Phillips

-She's got that down home innocent look Laurie needs.

Lynda- Katee Sackhoff

-We need a hot blonde. She's perfect.

Annie- Bianca Kajlich

-She just seems like she fits.

Bob- Ryan Merriman

-He just seems like he'd fit.

Judith- Sissy Spacek.

-She's the right age for the role.
