I was stupid enough to see the first three in the theater.

God damn afterwards felt like a Chris Farley slam in the head moment.

"STUPID! STUPID! MY GOD IM SO STUPID!"

Seriously, the Blair Witch Project has indeed turned itself into one of the worst well-known horror films of all time.

I can't even stand to watch it anymore. Its some goofing off, some screaming, and then some more screaming, and then five seconds of some freaky shit.

Hoooooooo-hum like a mothafucka.

Whoa, some of those are surprising (House on Haunted Hill, Poltergeist, Jeepers Creepers, Bride of Chucky, Resident Evil, Wrong Turn, Christine, Evil Dead II, 28 Days Later, Underworld, Final Destination 2, House of 1000 Corpses, Willard, Scream 2 ((which I thought wasn't THAT bad))) and some how I feel that horror fans aren't the only ones who voted.

yah, no way horror fans voted on this... the movie that deserves to be #1 is slumber party massacre 2... what a piece of shit

How can they even consider Count Yorga,Vampire(1970) as one of the worst films ever made! I DONT THINK SO!!! YEAH, RIGHT!! It is a classic flick from the Drive-In era, that made BIG money for American International on its opening weekend!! I am not making this up it happens to be FACT!!

Count Yorga is the FIRST modern Day Vampire film! Robert Quarry's portrayl of Yorga is unforgettable, winning him legions of fans to this very day!! Check out the Deathmaster on DVD by Retromedia, With commentary by Robert Quarry and Fred Olen Ray! Mr. Quarry is a man that deserves respect! SHAME ON THAT BOGUS LIST!

You can replace its number 62 status with the HANDS DOWN WORST that I had to bear witness to!!

AX-EM! AX-EM! AX-EM! AX-EM! AX-EM! AX-EM! AX-EM!

Totally..! ! Count Yorga is a fantastic flick and I cant believe its being spat on. In fact, there are loads of really great movies there.

In a perfect world, #29 would be winning with FLYING colours.

I will never understand the hatred for The Blair Witch Project, I really liked it.

That was crap, half of those movies don't belong on that list. I really don't think anyone who truly enjoys horror movies would put some of those on that list. I mean some of those movies are classics. That was crap.

Living_Dead_Dude
04-09-2004, 06:11 AM
what the hell is Evil Dead II doing anywhere near that list?!! lots of the others I disagree with seem to be love em'/hate em' with horror fans (e.g. Blair Witch, HOATC) so it's kinda acceptable - but Evil Dead II!!! suprised to see Demons on there as that seems to be beloved by horror fans (I didn't really dig it tho')

TheDeadWalk
04-09-2004, 07:37 AM
I think cult movies like Evil Dead 2 are called cult films for a reason. Because there is a select minority who dig that style, and became enthralled in it. The rest of society just views it as a horrid experiment in horror film. (Or just myself anyway)

Ash is either on top of everyone's badass list, or you just can't fucking stand him. There almost seems to be no middle ground on it.

real horr fans, seems like it was voted for by my brother, a complete moron

many of those dont deserve to be on there, ive seen many horror films that are piles of shit that arent on there

from the list, none of these should be on there, some of them are favourites of mine and some of the best horror films ive ever seen

where on the list is Voodoo Woman (the worst film ever IMO), The Zombie Dead and Slashers, all 3 much much worse than the below films

also Willard had better not be bad, ive wanted to see this since i first heard it and recently blind bought it, anyway, from that list its a load of shit IMO

1. Blair Witch Project, The (1999 )….(Dir: Eduardo Sanchιz)25pts

What a load of shit that list is. Evil Dead II, Willard, Underworld, Resident Evil were not crap IMO. Those people that voted were probably the same people that cry poverty while driving a Mercedes. Assclowns!

Real Horror fans? I doubt it. No real horror fan would put Evil Dead 2 in number 52...hell, they wouldn't put Evil Dead 2 anywhere on that list.

Also...WHERE THE HELL IS CANDYMAN 3 ON THAT LIST??!!! ;)

Wow this is hillarious! Appearently Critters 4 is better than both Jeepers Creepers and Evil Dead 2!

fuck that list. i cant even take it seriously with evil dead II on there.

Anyone who enjoys horror films is a "true" horror fan, but I agree that the list is woefully inaccurate. Top 100 lists are popularity contests, which is why you don't see dross such as Grim, Elves, Blackenstein, and Freakshow near the top of this one.

Very curious compilation. It's not even worth mulling over since it's a list represented by a tiny minority of the worlds population, how on earth could I possibly take it seriously

I have read several reviews about Night of Horror (1978) Havent seen that one.... But I would love to see it! For laughs of course...I guess I am also a sucker for a BAD flick every once in a while!

Nice to know some people are into Count Yorga! Great Flick!
Robert Quarry is underrated!! If you love Yorga check his other Vampire outing as Khorda in "The Deathmaster" on DVD!
Great 70's kitch! Robert Quarry is the man!

i think its a terrible list. i think what happened during the vote is ppl voted for films they personaly hate rater than just crap. for example i fucking hate scream with a vengance but i wudnt vote it on a worst film list as it has good production values. the 100 worst horror films should include films that are made terribly like the dummy and hobgoblins.

pyscho dude
04-10-2004, 12:27 PM
Hey some of those movies were pretty good. Evil Dead 2, Hellraiser Bloodline and several others on that list don't even belong there. Where's Teenage Caveman? That was way worst.

i agree that i don't think this was by real horror fans. blairwitch was a new way of doing the film which is why it worked. the second one should be on there before the first. it didn't have any effect on me and the first one had the rumor of this really happened. but it wasn't that point that made it scary. it was the looking through the eyes via camera of the individuals involed. there is no way that this should be at the top of the list because of the inventiveness of the people who created it. real horror fans would see that so this leads me to believe that this was a poll of the other kinds of movie goers. i myself don't agree with evil dead but that is my piont of view. i like the movie a lot.

I'm right there with you... after watching it for maybe the 15th time, I've pushed it from a 9 to a 10 - it's got so much going for it - from the perfect acting to the flawless realism to it's countless scares (easily one of the scariest horror flicks ever made). Plus, I may be the only one, but I liked the characters and found the movie downright sad, especially during the middle which many people say dragged. Their fighting and arguing gave it such a human feel that few horror films achieve. I sympathized with them and imagined myself in a similar situation, and shit my pants. And the ending is genius - especially after I really figured it out (never thought the early interviews would really have relevance to the conclusion). Brilliant, brilliant stuff.

And Tetsuo? That's the strangest thing I've ever seen - first off so many people haven't seen it and I really haven't heard of anyone who would label it as one of the worst horror films ever. Most people either liked it or thought it was too "bizarre."

The Exorcist 2 only got 1 vote? Is that a joke. It is easily the worst horror film I have ever witnessed, and thought nearly everyone would agree.

I'm with you all on this one - one of the strangest lists ever.
