Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius

finally, a respectable golf movie. is anybody else looking forward to this?

the story of legendary golfer Bobby Jones, starring Jim Caviezel (The Passion) and Claire Forlani.

Jones was well-known for helping found the Masters tournament, and was a pretty remarkable guy. He was very well educated, and practiced law in addition to being an amazing golfer. when he lost his ability to walk later in life, he took it in stride (no pun intended), saying, "you have to play it as it lies."

even if you don't play golf, this might be a good one to bring your lady to

if only because some is set in St Andrews where i play and some of my friends are extras.....will be good to laugh t them in their period costumes lol

looks good though and Cavaziel is an able actor so

I'm very surprised that this is getting a wide (1000+ theaters) release! It sounded like an indie to me. It won't do that great though. Too much competition opening weekend.

of course it's getting a wider release. caviezel is coming off of the passion of the christ so they figure they'll reap the benefits

Too much competition opening weekend. yeah, it is going up against some big movies. stroke of genius is a lot different than the others though, so it might be able to pull in respectable numbers.
