CARSON DALY TO BE GIVEN MTV LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

MTV VJ Carson Daly will be honored at this years TRL Awards with the Lifetime Achievement award.

The 31-year-old host started his career as a DJ in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1990s at the alternative radio station 98.5 KOME, where he stayed until MTV approached him in 1997.

Daly has been the host of many MTV shows and was involved in the birth of the channel's flagship program "Total Request Live."

Tony DiSanto, a senior vice president of MTV says, "Carson Daly is synonymous with 'TRL.' He was with us from the very beginning, and helped us define and shape it into MTV's flagship show.

"'TRL' wouldn't have happened without him, so when it came to decide who gets this year's Lifetime Achievement Award, the decision was clear."

Viewers can see the ceremony live on the network next Tuesday.

This is the funniest thing I've read all day. But it is 1:30 in the morning, so there is along way to go.

I heard he's accepting the lifetime achievement award at the annual fucktard awards.

Well, it could be worse...

It could've been P. Diddy demanding that MTV base an entire awards show around him.

That's next year's awards show. You know, the one where he's gonna try to top Janet Jackson's Superbowl halftime show.

Good point, I don't even think the celebs that get these thing even care about them, I remember on the Bon Jovi Behind the Music were they thought it was a joke and ony did because their manager thought would be a good idea, and Jon Bon Jovi said after they got stage he gave his to a fan because he didn't want any part of it and thought would cherise(sp) it more.
