Has anyone heard anything about this?!? This should be an exciting film.

Tom Cruise and Cameron Crowe plans to hook up again for the third time on a biographical picture of record producer and songwriter Phil Spector. Born in New York City, Spector studied under several producers as a teenager. In 1961, he helped form Philles Records, eventually becoming the owner. Spector produced twenty hits in a three year span for the likes of the Crystals, Ben E. King and the Righteous Brothers. He was also a recording pioneer in the studio by introducing multitrack recording to create the special "wall of sound" effect.

Cruise and Crowe teamed up previously on 1996's Jerry Maguire and 2001's Vanilla Sky. Crowe also directed the musically inclined Almost Famous. Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner are producing the project set to be distributed by Universal Pictures.

Cameron Crowe is one of my heroes and Tom Cruise is one of the most (if not the most) consistantly reliable actors working so I would definately check it out! And their two previous colaberations ended up in two terrific movies!

However, Cruise is going to be doing M:I-3 next and then I heard he's up for Iron Man which is suppose to start filming this fall. And Cameron Crowe is doing Elizabethtown next so it would probably be awhile before this movie is made.

Is "Ironman" going to happen? Because I haven't heard nothing about it since Tom Cruise said he wanted to do it a while back...

Cruise as Spector? ... thats some crazy casting, but I love Crowe's flicks. So, I'll be first in line to see this mother f*cker!

Tom Cruise is on a roll. First, Vanilla Sky. Then, Minority Report and The Last Samurai. Now, he has two good looking Michael Mann films coming out and a Cameron Crowe. I'm going to try to ignore Mission: Impossible III.

Cruise and Crowe are teaming up for "Elizabethtown". Cruise will co-produce with Crowe.
