Ford and Flockhart to split?

Hollywood couple Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart are on the verge of splitting up after the Indiana Jones star's cold response to news Flockhart's dog had died, according to insiders. Ally McBeal star Flockhart was taken aback by Ford's lack of compassion when mongrel terrier Webster died, even though his mother had passed away just weeks before. An insider says, "Harrison doesn't think losing a dog is a big deal, but it is causing all sorts of problems because Webster was essentially Calista's best friend. She can see why Harrison is really upset at the death of his mother, but she doesn't think that should detract from her own grief. She told me she thinks he doesn't care. Harrison is so down he can't even think about anything else, he thinks Calista is being too dramatic." The cracks in their three year relationship started to appear after 62-year-old Ford had to pay out a $90 million divorce settlement to ex-wife Melissa Mathison in January and was pictured soon afterwards dancing in a tequila bar in Mexico with two women.

This is funny.
The man gives his ex-wife 90 million bucks, she says nothing.
The man goes down to Mexico, gets drunk with a couple of babes, and gets photographed. She says nothing.
The man thinks the death of a dog shouldn't ruin the life of a grown woman. She thinks of breaking up.

Jesus Christ.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm siding with Calista instead of Harrison on this one, but it's only because of personal preference. I like dogs (or animals in general) more than people, especially old ladies.

Old bitches always going 30 in the fastlane...Urgh...

I may just have to side with Calista on this one. If you love an animal to death, and someone you love undermines its demise, then you may realize he's not the most caring person around. I may be biased, since I'm a dog/cat lover, and in a poll once, 99% of people said they wouldn't see anyone who didn't like their pets

I can't believe we're discussing the worth of a dog's life as compared to that of a human's. I think both Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford are douchebags, personally, and while it sucks that her beloved Webster died, its nowhere near as tragic as someone losing their parent. It ain't the same ballpark, it ain't the same league, ain't even the same fuckin' sport. When did we reach this point of desensitization in society that we can sincerely compare someone's mother passing away to the death of an animal?

Couldn't agree more. Callista is a total moron. Ford is an asshole. And what did either one expect when he left his wife for this stick figure...a lasting relationship?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!! That's rich. That she would dare to compare her dog to Ford's mom is dumb. That she's contemplating breaking up over a dog makes it worse. Stupid whore.

A dog and an old lady are worth about the same to me. I'd be more upset by the death of my fat little Pekinese than that of some old whore I don't even know on the six o'clock news. Depends on my relationship with the deceased.

Harrison Ford: My mother just died.
Calista Flockhart: How much did she weigh? I bet it was under 90 lbs!
HF: What the fuck?!

One Year Later:
CF: Webster just died.
HF: Did he starve to death?
CF: What the fuck?!

I can understand how she feels.

I had my dog for 18 years and he died on a Sunday night, the next day at college I was understandably upset, and my boyfriend told me aren't you over that already. Nice. I think that's probably worse than what Harrison Ford said. Needless to say, we're not together anymore. ;)
