UMA COINS A HIP NEW PHRASE


Uma Thurman's vengeful "Kill Bill" character has become a powerful role model for teenage girls, who have created a new phrase for getting even with their foes.

The actress is thrilled to hear the term 'I'm gonna go Uma on you' is creeping into the vernacular of hip, tough teens.

She says, "I know that some high school girls who were referring to defending themselves as saying they were going to 'do an Uma' on that person. They were 'gonna go Uma on them.'

"I thought that's just really funny, that in young girls' vernacular there was such a thing as equating getting tough with people with my character in 'Kill Bill.'

"Not that I want people to fight. There is that thin line between self-confidence and aggression."

The actress also finds Halloween fun because she likes the idea of women and men dressing up in yellow tracksuits -- to emulate her character "The Bride."

She adds, "I like seeing these girls at Halloween charging around in these yellow track suits -- my costume in the film. Even when we were going around the world doing the premieres, you'd have all these girls dressed up

as me in my track suit, ushering people around. And they looked so strapping.

Yeah... that is kind of ridiculous. I'd bet a whole dollar or so that somewhere down the line this was just created by her publicist. Kill Bill is awesome, but this is still dumb.
