In the EW interview, QT explains his plans for Kill Bill Volume 3

"And can we expect to see "Kill Bill -- Vol. 3" in about 15 years?


I don't know if I'll call it "Vol. 3." And Uma won't be the star of it, though she'll be in it. The star will be Vernita Green's [Vivica A. Fox] daughter, Nikki [Ambrosia Kelley]. And I know everything that will take her up to this time. Sofie Fatale [Julie Dreyfus]
will get all of Bill's money, and she will raise Nikki, and she will go to take on the Bride, Nikki deserves her revenge every bit as much as the Bride deserverd hers. I might even, a year from now, shoot a couple of scenes for it and put it in the vault for 15 years from now so I can get the actresses while they're this age.
It's really exiting to know that somewhere out there is a little girl who's going to grow up to be my leading lady"

Yeah, I read this a while ago too. (Probably on the Joblo main page.) I think this would be awesome, and QT being a genius, he'll definitely find a way to take care of the father. Maybe Sophie will take care of him, blame it on the Bride, and take the girl.

If she didn't get bit by the snake or anything, it would also be fucking awesome to have an old, blind Elle be involved with Nikki, she definitely also has cause to want revenge against Beatrix.

But why would a quadropalegic get custody of a kid? It would be like the kid getting custody of her.

Also, I understand wanting to do other movies for a while before doing another chapter in the "Kill Bill" saga, but isn't waiting for the kid to grow up a little weird? I mean, she could grow up to be a terrible actress. It'd be just as easy to cast another person who bears some vague resemblance, because really, who cares about details like that? Although maybe he'd still want to wait anyways so Uma could age naturally rather than go through heavy makeup.

I don't think she's necessarily a quadropalegic. She just lost one arm, and didn't take any real trauma past that. I think she was just in a wheelchair in the hospital as a general hospital thing. I know I wouldn't want to walk too much after the blood she had lost.

I haven't seen Vol. 1 since it was in theaters, so my memory is foggy, but I remember thinking that she got a lot more cut off than what we specifically saw because it took her that long to give up the info the Bride wanted. I could be wrong. I thought it was definitely more than just an arm, though.

when she's rolling down that hill, it looks like she has both legs...and it looks like she had the other arm.


plus she had a lot of info to give up so maybe it took awhile.

What the hell happened to Sofie in the second part? She was talking with Bill at the end of 1 and was nowhere to be found at all in the 2nd part. I was hoping for an explanation from the first and got no mention of anything.

Whats up with giving away the last name? and not only give it away but to have it be a thread for all to see? Thats not cool. It may not seem like not to you but you cant give away such a thing....its just not very cool. The movie was already ruined by many posts like this....If I was a hole in the wall Id know you just gave away The Brides last name without any type of warning.

V2 was so good I didnt even think, nor care about Sofie.. I would assume maybe Bill put her up somewhere, gave her enough money to live on and that was that.. she saw Kiddo take out the Crazy 88s, Go Go and her mistress.. I doubt she wants to mess with Kiddo...particularly since she was now minus one limb.... wasnt something in the plot I needed explained by QT.... its a minor loose end... it can even play out as paying homage to the old flicks that didnt tie those up as well. :)

Maybe The Bride just cut off a bunch of her fingers instead of her arm. After all, she says "they are things you're gonna miss." I'd certainly miss my fingers

I just watched the scene tonight, and it seemed pretty evident that part of one of her legs was gone (Below the knee).
