i added the HO1KC2 title to it.. it is simply called THE DEVILS REJECTS (fucking awesome name if i do say so myself)

I am watching House Of 1000 Corpses as i type and i went to the IMDB listing for it.. and checked out the smokin hot Sheri Moon's profile and it had this listed so i checked it out and sure enough its a sequal to the masterpiece known as House Of 1000 Corpses!

Here is the plot outline:

Plot Outline: The state police raid the family house, but they have all ready escaped. Otis, Baby, Captain Spaulding and Mother Firefly go on a killing spree across the country.

Thanks to IMDB.com

i fuckin cant wait!

Apparently, it's coming to theatres in October, which makes the release of the DVD even further away, say next year...

Might as well go to directo to video, the first was pretty dull IMO.

So far he's only been hired as the stunt coordinator.

Well at least I know to stay clear of this unlike of course Zombie learned to actually direct and edit rather than doing some drugs than throwing random and not scary things up on the screen.

The original is in my top 5 worst films of all time. Wonder what this will do

I think Rob Zombie is putting together an amazing cast ...

Ken Foree, Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Michael Berryman, Sheri Moon and maybe Kane Hodder.

I really can't wait to see this.

Should've posted this in the Upcoming Horror section, I doubt this movie would appeal to your average movie fan/movie elitist(not saying any names)

Needless to say, I'm pretty stoked about this sequel to a movie that was great campy fun.

I like Foree and Hodder, but I can't really say I'm stoked about the others. I think I'll pass.

I liked the first untill the end. The Dr guy and tghen the zombies totally ruined the film. It went from pschopathsto supernatural. I prefer pschos because then you think it is possible. I like the movie though. I 'llo see the second.

From RobZombie.com

Devilish Stunts
Here's the next news from the world of The Devil's Rejects. The most famous man to wear a hockey mask and weld a machete Kane Hodder has signed on as stunt coordinator for the film. Kane has promised that these will be some of "the most hardcore violent and visceral stunts he's ever put together".

Hey! I like hardcore violent and visceral stunts, too! Yippee! October seems too far away...

Ditto, I hated the original, had absolutely nothing in it that appealed me. I would rather have a drill sawed through my head then see this.

I wonder if Rob Zombie will actually release it with an NC-17 rating without any cuts now that the NC-17 rating has been givin' to another Lions Gate distributed horror film High Tension. It would be great to see his film in the sadisiticly violent way he imagined it.

I have a feeling Rob Zombie is going to load this one up with over the top gore. He seems a bit influenced by Quentin Tarantino (all the horror/pop culture references) and it just seems that with the release of Kill Bill Vol. 1, Zombie will take that route.
Of course, I could be wrong. I'm just speculating that this movie will be more gory than the first.

If anyone picked up SAW today at best buy.. they had a Bonus Disk that Lions Gate likes to do.. they put a bonus disk with their big releases that have sneak peaks at upcoming flicks... the one in SAW has a disk with a sneak peak for High tension and The Devils Rejects.

Rejects looks fuckin AMAZING! i cant fuckin wait til August 12 (i believe) when this is released in theaters!

Buyy SAW, cuz its the best fuckin movie ever made... but get it at best buy so you can get the bonus disk and check out the scene from Rejects!

Initially I thought "House of a 1000 corpses" was so-so. But after seeing it a few more times, the film grew on me.
"The Devils Rejects" looks pretty damn good though. Captain Spalding is hilarious. And with DDP, and Ginger Lynn being added to the sequel... I can safely say that I'll be checking this one out for sure.

I never saw the first one. I was thinking about it, but the negativity in this thread is a little discouraging. I may skip it now. MAybe if a friend has it or something, I'll check it out, but I'd have to have some free time. I can't see going out of my way to see it.

Don't let this thread deter you from seeing what's likely to be a great movie.

I'll admit my bias (I'm a huge fan of "House of 1000 Corpses"), but regardless of whether you enjoyed the original or not, it's important to consider how much Zombie has grown as a filmmaker. He's working through "Devil's Rejects" without the constraints of budget and the ratings issues which he faced on his first picture.

The cast is beyond amazing (check out the full list here, at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0395584/), the concept is intriguing (it's a horror / western / road movie hybrid, best described as "The Wild Bunch" meets "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"), and the presence of the great Bill Forsythe (as a vigilante sheriff, nonetheless) makes the film worth seeing ten-fold.

Plus, when was the last time we were all treated to a great road movie?

I'm looking forward to this. I loved the first movie but it was obviously the work of an inexperienced director. However, as schlock it worked quite magnificently. I even loved the sudden u-turn it took in the last twenty minutes. I don't care that it didn't make much sense in the context of the rest of the movie. All I care about is whether it succeeded in freaking me out. It did. Job well done. I anticipate that Rob will have taken any criticism of the first movie on board and this will be a far slicker product (hopefully not too slick though...I liked the ragged, edginess of the first movie). Bring it on.

Hello all,

F.U.B.A.R. here, first time posting. Anyway, I'm a huge House of 1K Corpses fan and have been eagerly awaiting the sequel. I have recenting read some early reviews and I am a bit worried that most fans of the first film may be in for a let down. The reviews have stated that Rejects is NOT a horror movie in the style of House. It is more a crime/ western. It is said to have mucho violence and more than enough sadistic plotpoints, but I am worrried that it may be too different then the original. What made the original great for me was the abundance of horror imagery, awesome haunted house-like sets and an extremely colorful cast of characters. With Otis, Capt. Spaulding and Baby back in the fold, at least we will get some of the latter. I heard that Rejects has a very "Natural Born Killers" feel to it, but even more brutal. Hopefully, Mr. Zombie can put enough originality into it that it won't disappoint. I was fortunate enough to meet Bill "Otis" Moseley, Sid "Capt. Spaudling" Haig, Irwin "Revelle" Keyes and Matt "Tiny" McGrory at a local Horror convention this past October and each and every one said that Rejects is shaping up to be a much better film then House. Sid Haig and Bill Moseley went on and on at how sick it is. I guess only time will tell and in August we will be talking about what we all thought.

Looking forward to some good film discussions with all of you.

Cheers!!!

F.U.B.A.R.

From Bloody Disgusting.com;

Lions Gate Films made a smart move this week in moving up their release date for Rob Zombie's upcoming film, The Devil's Rejects (review) from August 12th to July 22nd. Originally opening against Dark Water and the The Skeleton Key would have tanked the film. The spin-off to "House of 1000 Corpses" centers on a band of bounty hunters led by Sheriff Wydell's brother who is fueled by revenge when he finds out that his kin was slain by the Firefly family. The film will pick up shortly after the first with the Firefly clan going on the road after their house is burned down and a few family members have been gunned down during a police raid.

Good news!

I cant wait, I liked the first movie because of Captain Spaulding hes a great character. I hope nothing happens to him. But from what ive heard the detective brother is seeking revenge from the Firefly Clan but I think the Firefly clan is the one seeking revenge.

While I wasn't the biggest fan of the original House of 1000 Corpses, I still dug it, and taking into account that the trailer for Devil's Rejects is just so fucking ace, this is one I'll be catching within opening weekend...

HOW?!?! i saw the preview for Dark Water... it looks like your run of the mill Ghost movie... where the scares are culled from cats crossing the screen and doors slamming shut and shit!

And WTF is The Skeleten Key???

I think Devils Rejects would have TANKED these 2 flicks!

But i am pleased i get to see tis movie sooner than later!

I thought Corpses was a weak movie. It just tried too hard to be Shocking or Hardcore. Didn't work for me. But i will say i liked the cast and Rob Zombie is a good director. I have high hopes for Devil's Rejects-The trailer was great and those picture are awesome. So maybe this will be a good time-LET'S HOPE!!.

I hated the first almost as much as THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. I will be passing on this or any other sequel to it. I was bored and miserable watching the original HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES.

I thought House of 1000 Corpses was very...blah.

Although despite that, this project is appealing to me. It looks like a different spin on the story, something that I could imagine happening after the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre film. Let's see.

Zombie did a good job with the retro horror feel in House of 1000 Corpses but he shouldn't have made a sequel.

He should've snagged a brand new idea.

The orignal is the only movie I have ever seen that I cannot form an opinion on. I liked Captain Spaulding though. I will admit though that Devil's Rejects looks badass. I just hope they leave the stupid ass grandpa out of this one though. Sheri Moon is hot though.

I wasnt a big fan of House, I thought it was confusing as all hell in the end. However, im interested in seeing the sequel based upon the supposed reviews that were made on bloody-disgusting.com.
