In Pretty Woman there is a scene where Richard Gere offers a priceless diamond neckless to Julia Roberts. As she nervously touches it he slams the case shut as a joke causing her to laugh.

I recently heard this was actually a practical joke played on her but it looked so good that the director kept it in the film.

I was just wondering, are there any other scenes like that which should have ended up on the editing floor but where kept in the film because they where so cool?

"Titanic:" Leo's line "lie down on the bed-I mean, the couch," was a slip of the tongue on his part, but James Cameron liked it, so he kept it in. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

In Back to the Future, the mechanism that opens the door to the DeLorean became jammed, and Michael J Fox started hitting his head on it. Zemeckis thought it was funny and kept it in.
