Since I'm starting to go through Charles Bronson's filmography I figured my selection for this week would be the two Bronson movies I watched this week -- The Mechanic and Mr. Majestyk. Both movies feature solid performances from Bronson, some good action and in The Mechanic's case, a wicked surpise ending. And with all the Vin Diesel's and DMX's starring in action movies these days it's nice to see a true action hero. This guy didn't just act tough, he was tough.
Although the movies are slightly dated, they still have plenty of entertainment value. When I first seen them I decided to give them both 7.5/10 but the more I think about it, the more they feel like 8/10 material. I'll know for sure when I rewatch them. Anyway, if your tired of all the special effects and big budgets then I recommend you check out either these movies for a glimpse back at a movie star who will be surely missed. R.I.P. Charles Bronson.
