sure Cameron my have the biggest grossing movie of all time, but when i comes to sheer entertainment, hand down to Spielberg. Cameron seems to only do Action movies, while Spielberg can do a range of movies, Horror, Family, Adventure, Thriller ect...He is a more veristile Director and thats whys he better then Cameron.

Holy crap, this one is no contest.
Not only can Spielberg direct fun, thrilling movies with heart (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, etc.) but he is also great at thought-provoking drama (Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, A.I. etc.).
Cameron may have directed Terminators 1 and 2 (Overrated movie alert! Overrated movie alert!) and the multiple Oscar winning Gone with the Wind imitation Titanic (which, because of some horny teenage girls somehow became the highest-grossing film of all time), but Spielberg rules all!
This is so easy. Speilburg is way better then camoron. camoron is an overrated idiot whose screenplay for the shitty titanic was HORRIBLE!
(TAKE THAT QUENTIN!!!)

Hitchcock and Spielberg are the masters. No contest. I would have had:
James Cameron VS Michael Bay
Again, no contest, but they mostly do action films, so it's a little bit closer.

Of course Spielberg, for the previous question and of course Cameron for the new one.

Well I love Cameron. I think he is a genius. But not even he can compare to the true master of filmmaking, Spielberg. Spielberg has made so many unforgettable movies. I mean he did Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T., Hook, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, Amistad, Saving Private Ryan and A.I. Cameron has made some greats too like both Terminator's, Aliens, True Lies and Titanic. But Spielberg is clearly not only better, but the best director around, ever.

Speilberg!!! So many great movies!!!!!!
This, quite frankly, is a ridiculous comparison...how can Cameron ever even run next to Spielberg's greatness.
Fact: Spielberg - Greatest director of all time.

I watched A.I yesterday, its a truely moving and brillant film, Spielberg deservses a standing ovation. I have never been so moved by a film. Now Camerons last effect (Titanic) lacked everything A.I had. James mate, stick to mindless action films, its what you are only good at.
