Salem's Lot/Return to Salem's Lot question

Sci Fi's showed Salem's Lot part 1 and 2 the last two nights and are going to show A Return to Salem's Lot tonight at 3am, I recorded Salem's Lot because I've never watched them before, and I wanted to see them before the TNT's new remake comes out later this year and I was wondering do I need to watch Return to Salem's Lot, because I've heard that it doesn't have anything to do with the story?

Stay far away from Return To Salem's Lot - It's fucking terrible. From what I can remember from the shitty plot, it has something to do with vampires breeding with humans and creating slaves and there is also some bizarre retarded king vampire that lurks in the woods.

Anyway, stick with the original Salem's Lot.

Return to Salem's Lot is a POS horror flick that has nothing to do with the original aside from taking place in Salem's Lot (which was burned down anyway).

Agreed!!, stay well away from A Return To Salem's Lot, unless you're into watching 90 minutes of utter dribble!.
Awful flick. The original is a classic IMHO.

return to salems lot definately sucks.... but unfortunately i thought the original did too.... but before everyone throws stones at me let me say that i read the book before seeing the movie...and that was just a couple of years ago.... but for some reason i was really engrossed with this book.... i read it twice and then rushed out to get the movie.... and i was just dissapointed... but i also think that had i seen it when it came out it would have had more of an impact...but the story was awesome, so i am anxiously awaiting the new one with lowe.... but again i repeat, stay away from return to salems lot.... unless you just wanna watch a movie that combines the waltons with vampires....
