NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Hey dude try watching your favorite horror movie or the first horror you saw when you were a kid. To try and rekindle your love for horror movies. That always helps me.

Uh . . . so you want to like something you find boring?

Huh.

My adivce is don't watch horror for entertainment if you find it boring. Watch what interests you.

step away from it for awhile, do other stuff. You don't have to watch horror movies all the time to be a fan

I would say to go through the Arrow's top 10 lists and see all the movies on those lists you've never seen. There has to be at least one on there don't you think?

If that doesn't work, then there's no hope for you... ;)

PS Maybe that "Open Water" flick will do it for ya when it comes out in August?

I agree totally. It's perfectly natural to feel disenchanted with it, especially if you've seen several disappointing films in a row - so just take a break from it, and wait and see if the mood strikes you again.

Dead One: I probably shouldn't ask what you prescribe for a sore throat, eh? half a punch bowl of Bad Taste? :D

I posted about this very same crisis a little earlier and most people responded that they dig up some of their all time favorites and just.. well, fall right back in love..

Or, you could always just pick up a movie that is seen as a 'safe bet', but you just haven't gotten around to picking up.. that's always fun. :)

Watch some REALLY REALLY bad movies that are in a different genre than horror and try and watch a few of your favorite horrors and you'll appreceate and love it again...never tried it but it might work

Get you friends around and get smashed whilst watching some really shitty straight to video horror. You'll all have a blast disecting them, taking the piss out of the acting, effects and ludicrous storylines. Before you know it you'll realise that you can get good use out of even the worst horror movies. Pure cannon fodder for you and your peeps and the scathing remarks that ensue. Whenever I go a while without seeing a 'good' horror flick that's what I do, and it works everytime.

It also helps when you watch really good horror movies.

Theres so many bad ones outhere that watching a lot of the bad ones will get you to think that they are all like that.

Just rent something really good like What Lies Beneath or Bram Stokers Dracula Im sure youll fall right back in track.

If that doesnt work stop watching them for a while, watch all those romantic comedies or dramas that youve never seen (hey theres some good ones) and then come back. Watching horror films will feel like wearing and old pair of sneakers that you really liked.

As what most have said so far.....watch a film that made you fall in love with horror in the first place. That usually helps. :)

Well I don't find many horror movies scary but I still love em! I suggest watching some of the best horror out there and then watch some of the worst of the other genres. If that doesn't work then simply erase your memory and implant a new one involving you loving horror movies more.

I suggest you to watch extremly entertaining and fun horror movies like:

Chopping Mall
Slumber Party Massacre
Deep Rising
Jaws 1,2
My Bloody Valentine
Halloween 4
F13th 6 and 7
HOHH (Malone's version)
Fright Night
The Lost Boys
Aliens

Then DON'T WATCH THEM ! Go out and watch some other movies . Sure if you wacth something consistantly enough it will get boring . Go out and try other things . Horror is not the only movie genre . I'd say stay clear of horror for at least a month . Then try one . :D :D

Yep like others have said, may just be horror burnout. Try taking a break and coming back. The enthusiasm will most likely be renewed.

This happened to me not too long ago. I took a step back from horror and watched other stuff. Soon after I was craving the horror movies again. You'll come back to it, just take a little break ;)

I have a cure , rent every J Lo film , then watch them over the course of an entire weekend . Go see some MK and A videos . Check out some Lizzy Maguire flics . Check out some formulatic teen flicks like 13 going on 30 , Mean Sexpots , Princess Diaries , What a girl Wants , then top it off with the upcoming New York minute .

The exposure to those films should definitley shock you back in to reality and have you screaming back to horror films .

Then ease your way back in with Ju On , Tale of two Sisters , Kairo , and The Eye .

That's DD's prescription for horror fatigue , guaranteed to bring back even a reborn mainstream cinema lover .

I appreciate more than ever after my parents forbid me to watch them. Now that they've changed their minds I'm on a horror binge.

I know what you mean about being bored with a certain type of movie. I'm bored to death with Star Wars. I can't even watch 15 minutes of it without losing my concentration. But I'm sure my interest will spark back up when the box set is released.
