Best Sequel?

What is the best sequel ever made that was actually better than the orgional?

I know there aren't many, but I think Terminator 2 is the best sequel ever!

I personaly like Empire Strikes Back better than Star Wars, Die Hard 3 better than Die Hard 2, Temple of Doom more than Raiders of the lost Ark and Mission Impossible II over MI 1.

I agree on all of those, I also found that THE GODFATHER PART II was better than the first, and BATMAN RETURNS was better than BATMAN.

I wouldn't call The Empire Strikes Back a sequel, more of an on-going story, but, for the sake of it, it is the greatest sequel ever made, next to the superb Godfather Part II.

I'll say probably Godfather pt II and Empire Strikes Back, though I agree that Empire wasn't technically a sequel as much as a pre-planned next chapter in one big story.

Batman Returns is a far more entertaining film than the original, due in most part to the wonderful Michelle Pffeifer.

Toy Story 2 was just as good as Toy Story in my opinion. Most people would say it's better then the first. But, I think it's just as good.

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me is also just as good as the first. Very entertaining and very funny.

I like Empire Strikes Back, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and (eek!) Young Guns II was better than the first. Also each of the Pink Panther movies were hilarious it their own rights.

You're right Siren...I personally think A Shot in the Dark was better than the first movie, the Pink Panther. Better than the movies that followed it, too. *heh*

Again, I don't think Empire Strikes Back should count as a sequel.

Well i can now definately say that Scary Movie 2 was not better than the first one.
