This list is in no particular order,


1. Roy Batty - (Rutger Hauer-BLADE RUNNER)- Scariest Robot I've ever seen.

2. ED-209 (ROBOCOP) - Nobody had style like this robot. Telling someone they're illeagaly parked and then pumping them full of hot lead.

2. Robot Gunslinger (Yul Brynner - WESTWORLD) - Wow this guy was REALLY freaky.

3. Hal 9000 - (2001: A SPACE ODDESSY) - Not really an automaton in the sense of human resemblence but, very well done.

4. Colossus - (COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT) - Same as above but also a very scarey idea.

5. Samantha - (Kristy Swanson - DEADLY FRIEND) - Come on...Kristy Swanson as a psycho killer robot...That is just Friggin' COOL!

6. Bishop - (Lance Henriksen - ALIENS) - Heh, I can still here Bill Paxton saying: "Come on Bishop, do your thing man" or "Yea Bishop should go, let him go." Ha what a great film.

7. Robot - (Lost in Space: the series) - Of course no list like this could leave of "the Robot". Personally my favorite incarnation is from the original "Lost in Space" series.


8. IG-88 (Empire Strikes Back) - Cool, but even cooler if you've read some of the books.
