Die Hard Carter

Hey, people. My name's Carter and I'm new to the JOBLO site. My first question ever is going to be what is your opinion on the goriest movie moment ever? Personally I'm thinking the Final Destination 2 "3-slice" with the barbed wire. Opinions would be awesome.

gotta love and cherish and respect the Lawnmower Scene.
What about in Peter Jacksons first film Bad Taste..the
**SPOILER**
scene at the end when Peter jumps down through the aliens head w/ the chainsaw and all the innards and guts and shit are pouring out.

Dead ALive lawnmower scene def., Dawn of the Dead intestines scene, Haute Tension had some mean ass murders but one movie that will always stand out for me is the remake of the Blob, that had some crazy gore (dude getting pulled down a sink, exploding lady in telephone booth)

You've gotta be kidding me, Final Destination?
Was it Cannibal Holocaust that had the castration and penis eating? Now that's some gory shit.

Dead Alive for the over-the-top, almost cartoonish gore
Day of the Dead finale for most realistic
Pestilence
05-01-2004, 09:57 AM
Without doubt the finale to Day of the Dead. Splatter at its best.
Watch Fulci's "The Beyond" for NUMEROUS scenes of great gore, also "House by the Cemetary", "City of the Living Dead" and "Zombie".....Fulci was a gore master.
The throat-slitting scene in Haute Tension.
"The Test" scene in Carpenter's "The Thing".
Andreas Schnaas' "Violent Shit 3" is wall-to-wall gore, including a guy having hooks slung into his mouth then pulled on chains, so all the skin comes away leaving his skull screaming in agony. Also a guy having a hook rammed up his arse and his spinal cord pulled out with it. Schnaas is a useless director though.

for me it's that scene in day of the dead when the zombie tries to get off the gurney and his guts fall to the floor. that was so awesome!!!!!!!!

Basically most of the scenes within Dead Alive, Dawn of the dead, and Day of the dead.
KillaMyers
05-01-2004, 09:46 PM
Irreversible- A man literally gets his face bashed in by a fire extinguisher.( very graphic and disturbingly realistic)
From Hell- the scene were the hooker gets her throat slit by Jack the ripper, much like the scene from Irreversible it looks very real and is extremely graphic. '' i didn't see Haute Tension yet so i can't compare"
Day of the Dead- any of the scenes that r discribed in above posts.
TCM'03- the alternate Morgan death scene on the 2nd disc of the platinum edition, i won't ruin it for anybody who hasn't seen it , but all i'll say is it's quite graphic and extremely brutal. " i actually felt kinda nausious when i first saw it".

I'll list a few:
The "Glass-Squash" from Final Destination 2
"Tent scene" from Jason Goes To Hell
"Puppet death" from NOES3: Dream Warriors
With the exception of the Lawnmover scene in Brain Dead (aka Dead Alive), those are the only ones that come to my mind.

Well,it doesn't show how,but in Starship Troopers, when they show everyone cut in half and ripped apart with guts everywhere is somewhat brutal.

I agree with Killamyers, that head bashing scene in Irreversible is incredibly gory, visceral, realistic and just plain intense to watch. I highly recommend you guys check this movie out!

Damn straight!, that scene almost made me throw up. In fact the first 20 mins of that movie "for me" were very hard to watch " especially the rape scene, GOOD GOD! that was some fucked up shit,''. On another note the alternate Morgan death scene from TCM'03 "while not as graphic as the head bashing from Irreversible" is also quite intense, realistic, and very VERY brutal

Oh yeah, this death was a hard one for me to take. The sound the guy makes isn't exactly the most pleasant sound in the world.
I'd have to say one that's missed a lot is the hook death in Hellraiser. Something about having your skin ripped apart by hooks, along with the rest of your body, isn't exactly fun.

How could I've forgotten that? The most disturbing gore I've seen (yes . . . IMO worse than Irreversible). That was some fucked up gore!

I've seen the blob, it didn't seem that bad at all. Eraserhead and Necromantic should come in here, they'll have seen the worst. Personally though the worst ive seen (from what i can remember) is the last 10 mins or so from Cannibal Holocaust (fully uncut).
But for "fun" cartoon gore i recommend "the evil dead" - great film.

The decapitation scene in The Omen's pretty brutal. Maybe not that gory, but it's shocking.
The throat cut in From Hell was really graphic and unexpected, you expect them to cut away but they don't.
The arms through the chest in The Thing was disturbing. I was pretty grossed out the first time I saw it.

Welcome to JoBlo hun.
The goriest movie moment to me was probably the time on Freddy vs. Jason when Jason rips a chunk out of Freddy's tummy. Ouch.
And the scene on AmityVille Horror 2 when the demon breaks out of that boy.

People r we forgetting the "Brain Surgery" scene in Hannibal, while it was slightly humorous it was also extremely graphic and probably the sickest thing i've seen in a mainstream horror flick.
Friday the 13th part 4 contains some of the most nasty deaths in the whole series.
Like when Jason snaps the medic's neck and slits his throat with a surgical saw at the same time (sick shit)
Or the scene were Jason stabs the machete through the fat hitchhiker girl's neck, the part were both blood and some of the banana she was eating spurt out of the wound made me wanna vomit.
Anybody whos seen the movie a couple of times will know this scene. " JIM!, were's the corkscrew?"
killuminati003
06-06-2004, 11:31 PM
the brain operation scene in Hannibal, the pencil in the ankle in Evil Dead.....the suicide scene in Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), the end of Day of the Dead, the girl getting split open in tent in Jason Goes to Hell,......and this scene aint exactly gory, but it invlolves needles.........and i hate needles.........so when Michaely sticks that needle in that nurses eye i Halloween 2......that always makes me turn my head away....... and the opening scene in Scream when that guys intestines tumble out..............and in Dog Soilders when that one guys intestines fall out.....and if im not mistake, doesnt a dog chew on his intestines?..........well those are just some of the ones off of the top of my head...............

DEAD AND BURIED:
the dude in the hospital in a full body cast/bandages bcuz of the burns he suffered at the beginning of the film, who gets a huge needle RAMMED INTO HIS EYE by the freaky blonde nurse - the same chick who seduced him in the beginning leading up to him being set on fire.
