The best non-Disney animated film award goes to The Iron Giant. I loved this movie, and I still watch it every once in awhile. Makes me tear up inside.

"Anastasia" was very good and the music was great.

"The Secret of Nimh" is an awesome little slice of animation. I think it's time for me to grab this on DVD actually. I also think I still have a stack of coloring books and the lunchbox. I loved this when I was little...

The Iron Giant was a greeeaaat movie...I LOVED it...I don't know where JoBlo's 5/10 comes from...
Often overlooked are the highly superior British animated shorts - Wallace and Gromit.
*Additional Note: The creator - Nick Park - has been duly rewarded at the Oscars over the years, with 3 best animated picture awards, in the short animated film category. Pure genius.

My fave movie of all time, Princess Mononoke. If you haven't seen it, do.

The best japanese animation movie I've ever seen is Princess Mononoke, great story and beautiful animation. The best american cartoon movie has to be Transformers The Movie, the best cartoon show ever in my opinion.

mine is Titan AE That was an amazing animated movie and I can't understand why it was so poorly recieved.

Titan A. E. was poorly recieved because, when advertised, it didn't grab any interest from any moviegoer. Also, the soundtrack will really hurt this movie in the years to come, as it really dates it as being a late-90's early 2000 movie. I didn't like Bluth's choice of music as it distracted too much from the movie.
