1. She is strong.

2. She can take care of herself.

3. She used to fly the Z-95 Headhunter (coolest fighter).

4. She is hot.

5. She married a Skywalker.

Mara Jade never appeared in the movies but only in the books.

In a poll last year in star wars insider, Mara Jade made it to the top 20 and beat out many prominent characters in the films.

She spawned a comic series and her own action figure which i couldn't find.

She's a red-head and I believe she married Luke in a current book. Maybe the one where Chewie died. I'm not so sure.

But she is pretty popular to some serious Star Wars fans. You could first read about her in the best-selling Heir to the Empire.

Umm..guy? Mara Jade was created in the 90's. When those series of Star Wars books started to emerge which means she had no possible chance of being in the movie.

Plus it wouldn't be smart to put her in a movie because then George Lucas would have to take a U-Turn to explain Mara Jade's background and place in the Star Wars universe.

She was developed by Timothy Zahn in the 1991 #1 National Bestseller, Heir to the Empire. The first of a trilogy. If it was up to me I would turn that trilogy into a set of movies.
