I havent seen some of those, and they look good. But that cover art for "Trilogy of the Dead" really blows.

Does the re-issue of trilogy of the dead have anything that the other version did not?

and if not whats the point???

Ugh, that Terror Train cover art has put me off it.

The living dead boxset cover isn't all that. It also doesn't even have as much bonus material as the american dvds. But the other dvds do look cool.

I don't reside in the UK, but I just wanted to plug The Asphyx. It's a subtle, character-driven chiller that shouldn't be missed. It desperately needs a reissue stateside.

Couldn't agree with you more Count, indeed The Asphyx is a fantastic chiller, I was lucky enough to get my hands on a VHS copy a few months ago, thoroughly enjoyed it. The DVD release will almost certainly find its way in to my collection, and soon!!!.

God that Terror Train artwork is f****** awful!.

The Terror Train cover is a bit too Final Destination-esque for my liking, but then again, it's been so long since I last saw it...

It's the typography that bugs me!, mind you it is my living so I guess I'm bound to be a tad critical!. The train itself looks like the one I use, a Thames Train no less, always bloody late!!, now I know why:D

I got the Terror Train dvd the other day. A decent enough film, but the transfer was complete shit!!! Did they copy it off a twenty year old vhs??! Should have remastered it like The Hills Have Eyes dvd.

I've been waiting SO LONG for a DVD release of The Asphyx....I love that movie.

Sadly, I read a review of it in work today in a DVD magazine, and they gave it a horrible review. Apparently the picture appears to have been repeatedly cropped and shifted into fake widescreen, and no repair has been done to what must be by now an ancient print. They said it's painful to watch.

If I see it for a tenner sometime soon (maybe tomorrow, I'll have a look in HMV) I'll pick it up and let you know.

I agree with SLASHERFAN - The TERROR TRAIN art work looks just like GHOST SHIP! But, for some reason I DIG big fuck off skulls! I Absolutely adore the GHOST SHIP art work - even though I enjoyed the film, the art work is still probably the best thing about it (apart from the opening scene!)

I ordered TERROR TRAIN about a year ago!!! It was supposed to be released FEBRUARY 2003?? Or something like that! I've had it on pre order since they put the release date back, and now it's arrived!!

The artwork is different to what it was last year!!

By the way, I noticed in the most recent issue of Fangoria, an ad for upcoming AB US titles, one of which was Evilspeak with Clint Howard.

Is this going to be the full uncut version? Anybody have any info on it?

PESTILENCE -

I don't have any info about the release, but I expect EVILSPEAK to be presented in it's FULL UNCUT version. I have a video nasty book at home and it explains how this is one of those unlucky movies (like TOBE HOOPER'S FUNHOUSE) that 'accidently' fell into the 'video nasty' category unfairly. Whether the censors were wimps may or may not have had anything to do with it, but the fact they've issued a dvd release makes me feel confident they would have viewed it again, and realised it's not as bad as what was once thought.......hopefully. :p

Nah, seems to be identical.

The point will be that either it's coming out in a different kind of box, or perhaps they only had the license to produce it for so long, it went out of print, and now they're re-releasing it, probably due to increased demand (I'm thinking the Dawn Of The Dead remake had something to do with it).

I'm a bit disappointed that Terror Train and The Asphyx are getting bad reviews in terms of transfer... Anchor Bay are usually well-known for their near-pristine transfers. :(

did Trilogy of the Dead come out before the BBFC passed Dawn of the Dead uncut? Maybe that's why it's coming out again, with all the cut footage put back in...

Saw on the site that they're bringing out Hatchet For The Honeymoon, haven't seen this one but sounds GREAT!! a bava movie getting an Anchor Bay release!! although the Image releases have been great it would be cool to see this with a great transfer and some extensive extras!!
