I thought it'd be interesting to find out who the wrestling schmoes thought it the Best/Most Entertaining Wrestler ever. The list is now down to 2 wrestling superstars.
The Final Match:
Bret Hart vs Mick Foley
Raw Chili

Off the top of my head I do not see Kevin Nash, I would throw in Diamond Dallas Paige for some amusement, maybe Ken Shamrock but he's highly questionable but you do have Brutus the Barber Beefcake on it so I think Shamrock is worthy enough. I'll keep on looking and thinking of some. OOOOOh, also, maybe, he was a champ afterall Psycho Sid Vicious/Justice!
Raw Chili
05-05-2004, 09:35 PM
Raven! Almost forgot about Raven man and also throw in Double J Jeff Jarett and and possibly Sean Waltman though he's somewhat questionable. You could if you wanted throw in some popular indy guys, eventhough they haven't gotten enough exposure on TV like A.J Styles, Jerry Lynn, Low Ki, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Sonjay Dutt, CM Punk, Spanky, whoever.

Where the hell is Randy Orton?
or Edge?
or John Cena?
or Shane-o-Mac? (he may not be a full time wrestler, but he is DAMN entertaining to watch)
I say get rid of Steiner, Scott Hall, Dynamite Kid and Vader and replace them with the 4 I mentioned.
Raw Chili
05-05-2004, 10:45 PM
No offense Jackson but Cena, Edge and Orton are not even good enough to kiss Dynamite Kid's feet. Hall definetley stays, the best big man ever Vader stays, and old school Steiner stays in my humble opinion. Also, wrestlers are on this list, no McMahon's, no way.
Frank the Tank
05-05-2004, 11:23 PM
Take out Brutus Beefcake and Bobo Brazil and replace them with AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. Definately keep Dynamite Kid, Vader, Steiner, and Hall pre WCW. You could put Edge on their, but keep Orton, Cena and definately Shane the hell out of it. Take Big John Studd out and replace him with Stan Hansen, who may be the second best big man ever. Iron Sheik should be replaced with Raven, Hawk with Low-Ki and Animal with Paul London, Take out Honky Tonk Man and put in Jerry Lynn. Maybe you can put in some more Japan guys like Misawa, Kawada, Kobashi, Sasuke, and so on.

That definetley works, I would though somehow add Nash though, he was a major popular character in WCW with the nWo and champion even if he sucks now and was always a crap wrestler.

Instead of Nash, how about the original heel version of Doink The Clown. He was an awesome character, a good wrestler, and then they fired Matt Borne who was under the paint, and turned him face and hired a shitty wrestler to be under the paint.

How about The Mountie! He was a good amusing heel character that was definetley solid in the ring, and the theme song was kick ass.

Hey guys these have all been great ideas so far. I was thinking since there's been so many names thrown around to turn this into a 128 man tourney. I'm not too knowledgeable on Indy and Japan feds though so who would be really good to put in the tourney?
Here's the extras I've got so far:
65. Kevin Nash
66. Diamond Dallas Page
67. A.J. Styles
68. X-Pac
69. Samoa Joe
70. Stan Hansen
71. Jerry Lynn
72. Low Ki
73. CM Punk
74. Spanky
75. Raven
76. Paul London
77. Heel Doink The Clown
78. Ken Shamrock
79. Psycho Sid
80. Jeff Jarrett
81. Mitsuharu Misawa
82. The Great Sasuke
83. Toshiaki Kawada
84. Kenta Kobashi
85. Taka Michinoku
86. The Mountie
87. Larry Zbysko
88. Kane
89. Yokozuna
90. Edge
91. Christian
92. Cactus Jack
93. Mankind
94. Dude Love
95. Masato Tanaka
96. Shane Douglas
97.Hiroyoshi Tenzan
98. Yuji Nagata
I threw a few extras in there and thought Mankind/Dude Love/Cactus Jack and Mick Foley were all very different characters. Tell me what ya think.

05-06-2004, 12:23 AM

Agreed, it's mention how he's god awful and has been crap since joining the WWF in 92 but when was Greg "The Hammer'' Valentine any good??? The answer is never, Luger was one of the top heel OR face guys in NWA/WCW in the late 80's and early 90's. Also, I'll admit I found the Narcisist(sp?) gimmick amusing in early 93, it fit his character well and the whole USA Lex Express crap ruined it for me, whata sorry load of crap.

Yeah I think there could be a lot of squashes but I thought it would just be cool to throw in a ton of wrestlers since a lot of people like different wrestlers for different reasons and upsets are always possible (well except in the case of Austin/Xpac ;)).

Kinda sad thinking about Steiner, he was like the Kurt Angle of the early 90's and The Steiner Bros were the best tag team around during that time. Too bad he ended up like he is today. HBK might be one of the biggest political jackoff babies in the history of the WWF but he had the talent to back it up and was and still is one of the best wrestlers ever, his comeback since Summerslam 02 and keeping a busy shedcule(sp?) has been pretty amazing since his back was pretty fucked up.

Even though he is associated with Triple H, I do have to give it to Shawn for getting back to where he is now. I can't knock his tenacity nor his talent, of which he has lots of. Steiner on the other hand used to be a talented guy and still is, but more along the lines of being charismatic, and not athletic. The guy is falling apart thanks to his juice use. Ugh, good god one im finally really torn on since I love both of these guys, both have had classic matches throughout their careers. All of Dean's crusier stuff, Guerrero matches in ECW, his kickass feud with Jericho in WCW and battles with Mysterio, Benoit and Guerrero, even some good shit in WWF one example being the backlash 00 match against Scotty 2 Hotty. The dude was a total no bull mother fuckin ass kicker, the wrestling did the talking and he was and still is one the best in my book. But....then again there's the rocket the king of hearts Owen fuckin Hart, from his early days in Stamped eventually coming into his own as mega heel in 94, his feud with Bret was classic with the classic WM 10 match against Bret and the cage match at Summerslam 94, one of the best cage matches ever. One of the best smug jackass heels of his time feuding with HBK, Austin, HHH, Shamrock whoever, he was always one of the best no matter what and its a fucking shame we miss out on Owen vs. Benoit, Jericho, Angle, Guerrero, whoever.

Shit, this is probably one of the toughest ones. On the one hand I hold Owen in very highest esteem. Besides having the most tragic of accidents in wrestling, which cost him his life, he was a great guy and was incredibly talented.
On the other we have The Ice Man. Malenko is probably one of the greatest cruiserweights ever, and his matches with Benoit only further the fact. While his gimmick as a womanizer in the WWE after he jumped ship with the rest of the WCW Radicalz tarnished his image some, he still remained a great competitor.
In the end though, I have to give it up for The Rocket, The King Of Harts, Owen Hart.

Didn't The Rock hold the IC Title for 9 months.
jackson13
06-02-2004, 09:24 PM
Here is Rocks longest reign:
Rocky Maivia wins the title on 12/08/97 in Portland, Maine, U.S.A.
He loses it to Hunter Hearst Helmsly on 08/30/98 at Summerslam in New York, New York, U.S.A.
Orton won the title on 12/14/03 at Armageddon in Orlando Florida. Today is 6/2/04. So he's a couple months under that title reign, which ended almost 6 years ago.
So really, Orton is the longest reigning I.C. Champ in 6 years. WWE needs to check their own past storylines.

Only one on one Sid match I thought was pretty decent was the 96 Survivor Series match against HBK when he won the belt, eventhough it was suppose to be Vader but HBK is a political bitch. He had a couple of half way decent stuff during his run, against Bret Hart at the It's Time ppv in December 96, and HBK at Rumble 97, but overall Sid is one of the worst wrestlers EVER that and a fuckin looney toon. Who attacks Pillmin with a sqeegie(sp?) and Arn Anderson with medical scissors?!!?
