I just realized that you had thanksgiving weekend last weekend, so that with no doubt helped Harry Potter to keep up the B.O. The real test for the film will come next weekend, whether it has legs after all the fans have seen it.

I'm curious, does anyone know how much Texas Rangers grossed Friday. I bet 5 of my Box Office Forecast Challenge points over at www.leesmovieinfo.com (http://www.leesmovieinfo.com) that it would gross over $600,000 and I can't afford to lose them so I'd really like to know how much it grossed. If anyone knows please let me know.
Thanks...

You have no idea how happy that makes me, I just saw Behind Enemy Lines last night and for a short review i'll just say HOLY SHIT, 9/10, And seeing that its doing better then Harry Potter makes me soo happy, Harry Potter was good but i'm tired of it being number 1. I think Behind Enemy Lines will be the Number one movie this weekend.... At the theatre i work at BEL beat HP by over 100 dollers, And I also remember that BEL had 180 people in it twice last night, and the highest amount HP got was 25..... GO BEHIND ENEMY LINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really want to see Behind Enemy Lines come in number 1 for the weekend but all the analysts are saying Harry Potter will win for the weekend.
I bet you POTTER's Saturday and Sunday grosses would be better than ENEMY's as parents are more available to take their kids to the show. But then again they may not be. POTTER is not holding up as well as anticipated. Traditionally, the days between Thanksgiving and Christmas are relatively slow days at the box-office since everyone's preoccupied with shopping. By the way, I did enjoy ENEMY in spite of myself.

I'm really upset, because unlike dicaprio_travolta_man, I thought Behind Enemy Lines sucked, and I mean it sucked. Except for the first action sequence, this movie was terribly cliched. I expected that, but the Director John Moore has a terrible sense of what kind of music to use. And also, the fact that he used every camera trick in the book made it look terrible. I thought there would be more action to distract me from those details, but there wasn't. I'm upset Potter is losing dollars, but what can you do. But "Enemy" is making money is doesn't deserve.

I am pissed about those Friday numbers. "Behind" is an okay action film but the film was over-stylized and Hackman gave the worst performance of his career he was better in "Heist". But "Potter" is a scary genius movie and is the best of all-time. And everyone needs to see it to witness the genius of the cast(I mean how could you not love a film with performances like those of Rupert Grint and Alan Rickman). But Owen Wilson and his crooked nose will crash and burn and conquered by good old Dumbledore when those great Saturday+Sunday numbers hit the net.

Yeah, it's kinda unfortunate, because I thought it was a terrific film (ties with A.I. for best film so far this year for me). But I think it's best to have competition, so I'm not incredibly sad to see that BEHIND ENEMY LINES may take No.1.

Yeah Horror Whore, I do. And damn, I really need the points too because I think I only have like 18 points total so far. And now it looks like I'll probably lose 5. So far I'm not doing very good.

Hehehehe and I just love this quote from http://www.boxofficeguru.com :
"In limited release, Miramax opened the long-delayed western Texas Rangers and grossed a pitiful $300,000, according to estimates. Playing in 402 theaters, the Dylan McDermott-James Van Der Beek film averaged an embarrassing $746 per venue."
Sorry Mike man, looks like you lost your points http://www.joblo.com/ubb/frown.gif
You already knew that though, just thought I'd throw it in.

YEAY! I get 6 points!!
Harry Potter is going to be 2 next weekend... http://www.joblo.com/ubb/mad.gif
Yeah, I know, I lost my points. I didn't think it would have a problem grossing at least 600,000 but I guess I was wrong. Of course it didn't help that it was released on the slowest weekend of the year.
