I bought this slasher about 2 weeks ago and it was a blind-buy.
I am not disapointed, it was entertaining, a good heroine and some creepy moments, too.

The story is a bit similar to Les Diaboliques but more gory of course.

This slasher is not really gory but has some good murder-scenes.
It also has style and it is rare for a slasher.
One thing I find disapointing is that all the murders are similar, I mean the weapon is always the same.

Good slasher: 6/10

It was okay, withy a creepy killer costume (clowns....urgh), and some okay performances (ut soem very bad ones as well). But then again, any film with a head in a toilet can't be all bad.

I watched this late one night with my flatmate and we laughed the whole way through - It just didn't grab me.

I had a lot of difficulty taking it seriously!

POTENTIAL SPOILERS>>>>

This is probably my favorite slasher from the 80's: as JASON 13 pointed out, it has style. The score by Charles Band is also unexpectedly elegant, rich, and evocative for a slasher. The cast of actresses are likable and performed more than competently. My only complaint is that, aside from the roles played by Kate McNeil, Eileen Davidson, and Harley Kozak ("Do you have an idea or are you just exercising your mouth again?"), the rest of the characters were kind of thin ( and I don't mean in the anorexic sense -- although Jeannie did look like she could use a Big Mac or two). Better to have reduced the number of women from seven to five and fleshed them out more.

That, and a rather abrupt conclusion kind of detract. But other than that, it's near perfect as a slasher can get.

8.5/10
