Miramax Home Entertainment has kindly sent us over this early look at the official artwork for the highly anticipated Kill Bill: Volume Two which stars Uma Thurman in the lead role. The disc has yet to be officially announced I'm afraid, so we're unable to reveal any details quite yet. However, we're expecting this release to be another barebones affair, similar in style to the volume one release. An all singing, all dancing special edition should then follow later in the year. As soon as the disc is officially announced, we'll let you know. For now though, here's our first look at the official region one package artwork:

LOL, notice that on the cover of Kill Bill Vol. 1 it says "The 4th film by Quinten Tarantino", but since on Kill Bill Vol. 2 it's kind of unclear whether to count it as the same film as Vol. 1 or a whole other movie, so they just write "The New Film by Quinten Tarantino".

With all the talk and revelations of a different cut in Japan of V1...I havent read anything about a different cut for V2 being shown in Japan...does one exist or is Japan seeing V2 the way we saw it? and is V1 the only one to get a diferent version later in the year in R1?

Just to add to the cover confusion, Miramax Home Entertainment have decided to revise the artwork for hit film Kill Bill: Volume 2 once again. This time they've scrapped the black background, in favour of red. The disc will of course be available to own from the 10th August this year, and should set you back around $29.99 in total. For now though, here's our first look at the official revised revised artwork:

that one was good, but it doesnt really match Vol 1's cover, so though the current artwork isn't exactlythe greatest ever, at least it's consistent in it's stylistic approach which I personally think is better then having a cover art that may be really cool but in absoutely no way matches the look of the first one. Always been a pet peeve of mine when they do that....

While it's 'matching' with Vol. 1, they are still both probably the worst covers made for a decent movie.

I actually like both Vol.1's and this Vol.2's cover art. Makes them look like cheap old school Jap-flicks, which is what Quentin was going for anywho.

Those moaning about it, I'm sure the cover art will be done justice when it's released as a full flick.

I liked the black version more because it coencided with the volume one dvd release. This is still pretty good though, either way I can't wait to own the film.
