So...who IS the better drummer? Mitch Mithcell of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, or Ginger Baker of (arguably the first hard-rock band of all-time) Cream?
Let's take a looksee:
Ginger Baker did the amazing "Toad"...he would often pass out on stage from playing so hard.
Mitch Mitchell did the underrated drumpiece "Fire"...and was a very underrated aspect of the Experience.
I'm torn between the two. "Toad" is amazing, as is all of Baker's work. But so is Mitchell's. Mitchell just never got the chance to showcase his becuase he was hiding behing the spotlight of Jimi H.
In the end, on a split-second decision...I'd have to go with Ginger Baker.
