Absolutely Fantastic album.

Truly one of my all-time favorites.

As you can tell by my avatar, I'm an OutKast fan. As much as I think Stankonia rocks I still love Speakerboxxx/The Love Below even more.

Really, anything OutKast is solid gold (Though, admittably, their earlier stuff is more of an acquired taste to some).

Of course, the best tracks on Stankonia are "So Fresh, So Clean", "Gasoline Dreams", and the amazing genre-bending "Ms. Jackson".

Honestly, "Ms. Jackson" is a track that is even loved by rap-haters. I don't know how anyone who despises the "gangsta" lyrics of other rap songs but doesn't respect "Ms. Jackson" being a deeply mature song that shows two sides to ending a relationship.

Like I said, anything OutKast is solid gold.

The great thing about OutKast is as the move more towards the mainstream, the remain the absolute most creative act out there today. Although some may want to label them a sell-out, and I know some of their die-hard fans did with Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, which was more radio-friendly than their earlier, ATLiens style introspective downbeat kind of rap, I think that's sucha hard thing to do because they sacrificed none of their originality, ambition or creativity. The difference between ATLiens or Aquemini and Stankonia and Speakerboxxx/The Love Below is undeniable, and it almost sounds like two different groups, but at least both "groups" are brilliantly creative.

Stankonia is almost their masterpiece. I think I may like Speakerboxxx/The Love Below and ATLiens a little bit more, but between the three of them it's really a toss up. Stankonia is very hard hitting, fast paced, eclectic, and often very electronic. The lyrics seem, on some songs, to be a huge step backwards, but still on tracks like Ms. Jackson, they prove they write the best rhymes in the entire scope of rap.

Highlights include Gasoline Dreams, the singles (Ms. Jackson; So Fresh, So Clean; BOB), and my personal favorite Red Velvet.

Can't wait for them to get back to working on the same tracks and deliver another classic, like all their previous albums have been.
