Evilspeak is pretty cool. Especially if you are a fan of Ron Howard's brother Clint (I am). It's much better than it's IMDB rating suggests. It's a typical tale of a kid who gets bullied at school and turns to the black arts to get revenge. It features some pretty cool gore scenes including once unforgettable scene involving pigs. All in all i'd give it about 3.5/5 but it's been a while since I last saw it...so my opinion could go down a notch when I see it again.

Season Of The Witch I haven't seen but it's an early George Romero flick as as such is likely to be a little rough around the edges but interesting. It's also knows by the bollocks title Hungry Wives. What were they thinking?

The Dead Next Door is an ultra low budget homage to the movies of George Romero and is from the reports i've read pretty fucking cool. A lot of gore and love was apparently poured into this movie and reportedly it shows. I'd like to see this.

Cheerleader Camp it seems is a cheesy eighties slasher flick...if that's your bag well good luck. Personally I think i'll give it a miss.

Three interesting movies out of four is a pretty solid ratio though.

Psychocandy summed it up rather well. The only film that I'm not terribly interested in is The Dead Next Door. I've had my fill of no-budget genre fare for the time being, but my opinion could change by the time it's released.

Season of the Witch was good, although it would depend on what sort of film you like to say if it was a must buy or not

it was slow moving, the acting was good but the picture wasnt that good

im interested in Evilspeak and Dead Next Door since ive wanted to see these for ages

I had heard the same about this, but I found it to be a pile of shite - the acting is wooden and the special effects are lacking.

I saw Evilspeak on VHS, R-rated cut, and it was pretty bad. Although funny. Those pigs came out of fuckin' nowhere man, it was entertaining. I might grab the unrated cut.

The Dead Next Door is obviously something that J.R. Bookwalter and the rest of the crew worked very hard on. The effects are the best thing about the movie. There is alot of blood and gore and a few cool looking zombies. The screenplay is atrocious and the acting even worse. The nods they give to other movies are way to cheesy and obvious to the extent of having characters named Romero and Savinni. Bruce Campell does voice over on a few characters which helps, but this movie is boring way to often and the plot just gets lost and never recovers. Not a bad ending though. Only for hardcore zombie fans such as myself, lol. There's just something about this movie that as bad as it can be that makes me watch it every now and then.

Evilspeak is the only one I have seen. I saw it at the drive in and one part freaked me out. All I remember about it was that one part and that it took place at a military school.

The Cheerleader Camp cover art is the same as the VHS. I feel no urge to splurge for the DVD though. Not even a Leif Garrett or Betsy Russell commentary would persuade me. Real cheesy flick.

I will probably have to check out the others.

CHEERLEADER CAMP - DUDES.......................LOVE THAT COVER ART! :D Never seen it - another of those 'forgotten' slashers that never appeared in any video store near me in the shitty UK. Bah!

I would get Evilspeak. Esspecially since it's the unrated uncut version with all the removed gore put back in, i heard there's quite a bit and anything with alot of gore interests me.
Not really interested in any of the other ones. Well maybe Season of the Witch because it's Romero but not the other two.
