VENOM or NO VENOM?!?!

Man i am going nuts! i am a huge fan of venom and even bigger for carnage. and i just had a lap dance from a crying stripper when i read the news about Spidy 3 i was yeah Venom then the next paragrach contradicts everything stated in the previous paragraph. If venom or carnage do no make it to the big screen spiderman is dead to me simple as that! i hated the green goblin, and doc oc looks kind of cool, but i am telling you right now! that if they ever put spidy up against venom or carnage that, that movie would be number one all time in box office intake. no doubt mark my words.

Yeah Venom is one of the coolest and meanest motherfucking villains in comic book history. If Raimi wants to improve his Sipdey franchise more and more he should definately feature him in the third installment.

I think it would be a terrible idea to make ANOTHER Green Goblin. I'm not too thrilled to hear the rumors of Kraven and the Chameleon either. If not Venom, give us another cool villian. :(

If they have ANOTHER Green Goblin, the 3rd movie is gonna suck hard. Raimi doesn't want to use Venom since he hates the character, so I wouldn't count on him being in it :(

I want Venom ONLY IF they introduce the black alien costume thingy & Eddie Brock in the film before it. If they make a film where Peter finds & uses the black costume, pisses off Eddie Brock, then pisses off the costume, AND Eddie hooks up w/ the costume and becomes Venom all in one movie it will suck. That's too much to happen in one movie. We need an entire movie w/ Spidey in black first, then Venom in the next film.

Listen, its so obvious that Raimis favorite villain is the GG. And its also obvious that Harry, in part 3 or 4, will take up the mantle of GG. He's already started the path - hes instructing Doc Ock to nap Peter to get to Spidey.

The GG is notorious not ecessarily because of physical prowess (at which he's esxactly equal to spiderman in every way) but b/c of his intelligence. He manipulate sotehr villains to kill Spidey.


Raimi said he used Doc Ock in part 2 because its what the fans want. If that stays true then he'll definetely be using the black costume/Venom in th next one.

Ive been convoluted for a while between the comics and the old cartoon. Does anybody remember the comics history of the Hobgoblin? (Not to mention the facft that theres been like five Green Goblins!)

I recall Hobby was just some schmoe crook. Im pretty sure when Harry dins the goblin suit, its the exact same one as Daddy.

I beleive they stated sometime during production of the first one that Harry may pick up the Goblin suit in the future but he would done the Hobgoblin identity so they could keep the Green Goblins return around for a later sequal maybe.

Something like that, i dunno, its been to long time since i read it.










The first Hobgoblin was a guy(a reporter?) who found the Green Goblins notes and serum and became the Hobgoblin, he wasnt too hot though and got killed by another masked villian called Jack-o-Lantern, a hired asassin who sent a hit squad after Hobgoblin. After the original Hobby was offed Jack assumed the Hobgoblin identity as his own and continued his work as a gun for hire.

He wasnt insane like Osborn because the formula was perfected at that time and he retained all of the enhanced strengths Norman enjoyed, but he wasnt quit the arch-villian that Norman was because it was never personal to him, it was all just business. He woudl only fight if he was paid to.

Im sure i got some of his origin stuff jumbled to hell, but it was aloooong time ago. Itd just be easier to have Harry assume the comstume but with the Hobgoblin look.

they should definitly have the symbiote appear in the movie before venom does, or have it appear in one movie and leave at the end and the very last scene could be the symbiote comming to eddie brock.

the main villians in the movies will never be guys like scorpian, hobgoblin, rhino, electro, sand man ect. because they may be powerful but they're really just henchmen,
the main villian will always be one of the smarter guys such as ock, gg, venom(not that smart but threatening because he knows spidy's identity and is slightly smarter and more meanicing than the other lower guys because he's got the alien symbyote)

i would like a couple of the lower guy as just an opening sequesnce of spidy taking them down or something

Hes a newer character but i would REALLY like to see the character Morlon appear in a Spider-man movie. I recently read the story arc about him and even though he dies at the end, the fight between him and Spider-Man is probably the best in all comic histroy to me, right behind Superman Vrs Doomsday. The Arc really went into how Spidermans powers might not have been bestowed upon him the way he thought.

Morlon brought Spiderman closer to death and dispair then any villian ive ever seen and he just totaly kicked ass. He was smart, calculating, and had a wicked sense of humor about how he hunted heroes like Spiderman down. I liked how SM used his wits and outsmarted him by using his own powers against him, just when all seemed lost.

And even with that, it still nearly killed SM! I would drool if that would be made into a movie. :eek:

[EDIT] Hobgoblin had nothing to do with the Green Goblin ever. The Hobgoblin was just a thief and became rich and married Elisha Hardy (Black Cat/what ever her name was) I dont know why people cofuse the Green Goblin and the Hobgoblin together they have nothing to do with each other ever.

I know. All I was saying was that the information from both TAS and the comics got jumbled together in my head and I couldnt remember what was what.

Nah, i think they will pick the best actor for the job, period. Otherwise The Green Goblin and Doc Ock woulda been playd by big name actors.

They seem much more interested in finding the right actor for the role then a big name. The Spiderman franchise will sell itself now, no need to go out and pay someone 20 million becuase it doesnt NEED a big name to draw in crowds.

Despite the colossul budget of each movie, Sam Raimi will always cast like a low budget director, he wil pick whats best for the part period.
