How good you ask? Its average, nothing more... the first was average and overrated, the 2nd is just fucking atrocious with the exception of one actors performance, and the 3rd was great, the best in the series by far...

The first totally kicked ass and was one of the greatest zombie films ever..

the second was OK, a little more comical

the third strayed from the formula a bit but was ok as well

I think all three suck. If you want zombies look no further than Romero's Dead trilogy.

The original ROTLD is the only zombie movie I like (with Resident Evil if that counts as 'zombie') and I not only like it, I absolutely ADORE it. I don't like zombie movies, not at all (I've fallen asleep trying to watch the original NOTLD like five times) but this movie was too awesome.

I haven't seen the sequels.

ROTLD 3 has nothing to do with the first two chapters.
The film by Yuzna is much much more somber and dark than ROTLD and ROTLD2.

The VHS edition of ROTLD3 is uncut, while the DVD is rated R. The first movie is good, the second movie is bad, and the third movie is good. That's all you need to know.

i agree that the 3rd one is very good. it's the only one of the trilogy i own. it's very cynical and somber, but also bloody - parts are really quite gross. but the story is strong and the ending stays true to the rest of the movie.

Part 3 is a good film, but don't think I didn't notice a couple of more than dodgy special effects!!. Apart from that it's a credible instalment.

The third one was decent. Good storyline. Good effects, but nothing special.

My thought's exactly... Although I don't think the 3rd ROTLD is even in the top 5 Zombie flicks... I'd say maybe top 6 or 7...

The first was an extremely funny film. The second was bad, but I still liked it in a "so bad it's good" kinda way. The third was fucking awful, like a bad soap opera with gore and zombies.
