life as a house

i just saw the movie life as a house and i think that it was amazing!!it reminded me of american beauty and i think the director of that movie is the same as the director as life as a house. it also reminded me of patch adams and im wondering if the director of patch adams is the director of life as a house. does anyone know?

No Sam Mendes directed American Beauty.....Irwin Winkler directed Life As A House.....from my point of view, I found Life As A House to be the superior of the two...I'm not to fussed on American Beauty.

maybe im wrong. but im almost sure that someone who either produced or directed life as a house directed or produced american beauty. they're very similar.

Nope. LIFE AS A HOUSE was directed by Irwin Winkler, produced by Rob Cowan and Irwin Winkler, and executive produced by Michael De Luca, Brian E. Frankish, and Lynn Harris.

AMERICAN BEAUTY was directed by Sam Mendes, produced by Bruce Cohen and Dan Jinks, and co-produced by Alan Ball and Stan Wlodkowski.

I've seen AMERICAN BEAUTY but not LIFE AS A HOUSE. I have heard they're quite similar, however. Just judging by the previews for HOUSE, it seems that BEAUTY is probably the heavier, more hard-core film.
