Rush is an amazing band. I had liked them a lot earlier, but then I bought their greatest hits, and now I'm in love with them. Geddy Lee's voice is a truly original and amazing one. Alex Lifeson is the most underrated guitarist of all-time. And Neil Peart is the second-best drummer of all-time, beind Bonham.
My favorite songs:
Tom Sawyer
The Trees *Favorite*
Fly By Night
Freewill
The Spirit of Radio
Red Barchetta
2112
Closer To The Heart
Amazing.

Good man, SP.
I think Rush are great. They make us Canadians look good.
Neil Peart is an amazing drummer, too. Gotta agree with you there.

You are almost 100% correct, Jerk.
But Neil is THE best drummer of all time. I saw Bonham play, and prefer Peart.
Best songwriting ever.
And Alex Lifeson is the best guitarist nobody gives credit to.

That may be correct, but I personally prefer Bonham's style.
What are your favorite songs, Greb?

I think Rush are awesome personally. Neil Peart is a damn good drummer, his fills are like no other. The song's lyrics are great, and actually have meaning unlike most other rock bands. The band's overall sound just is really cool in general. I only own one CD, Moving Pictures, but I've listened to it to death. Nothing beats Red Barchetta though.

Yeah Rush is definitley one of the best bands out there right now...and tehy have a new cd coming out June 29 called Feedback, which is a cover of songs by their main influences (Cream, The Who etc.) They are going on a 30th aniversary tour in the summer, which has already started i think...Check their site for tour dates http://www.rush.comhttp://www.rush.com

A band I used to love but have really grown to hate, mainly because of Peart's lyrics.
They're all top notch musicians, and Greb's right about Alex's talent. (I would put Peart in my Top 10 of drummers, but he's not on top.)
Meatwad really likes them :D
I saw Rush in 1994 for my birthday. The set was amazing. Some of my favorite Rush tunes include:
Limelight
The Big Money
Time Stand Still (Featuring Aimee Mann)
Tom Sawyer
Subdivisions
La Villa Strangiato
Stick It Out (And yes, damn it, I like Counterparts)
Free Will
Red Barchetta
You'll notice many of my faves are from my favorite Rush album, Moving Pictures.

After all the Rush listening I've done, I'd have to put them in my top 5 bands of all-time. Possibly top 3. I love everything about the music, even their different stuff. (i.e The Trees)
Who knew a song about Maple trees fighting Oak trees could be so exciting?

Great band. One of the few musical acts this country doesn't have to be ashamed of.

AHH RUSH. My dad introduced me to Rush a while ago. They were truly totaly difforent then anyone out at that time and there sound is timeless. Im glad someone actually agrees with me that Neil Peart is one of the most talented drummers of all time.
Oh and Jerk Shapiro How old are you man. You love the same music I love and My friends think Im crazy because I dont listen to that shitty rap crap that has taken over the earth. Plus I get a lot of credit by the older dudes cause Im only just 15 and I like the old scjool rock.
