I love Stephen King. He is the ultimate horror genious. Some of his movies don't show because you can not put every detail from his books into movies, but still his movies come out pretty good.
If you read his books you will know what i'm talking about. I could never put his books down and I can visualize as I'm reading because of his tremedously great details. I would like your opinion on King's books and movies.

I love most of Kings novels, my favs are: Salem's Lot - The Shining - Pet Sematary - The Green Mile. There are many others but I've had a little too much to drink tonight, hence my memory is a bit fuzzed up!! ;)

Films:

Misery was an outstanding screen adaptation, IT was okish but after a recent viewing it did come across as rather dated, and the finale doesn't really lend itself to well in relation to the book, that's not how I imagined the creature to look like, that spider creation ruined it for me I must say.

Salem's Lot the first movie that genuinely scared the crap out of me, and ultimately the reason why I am such a horror fan today. That said hoopers adaptation is miles off the mark, Barlow is nothing like Kings character, it works nevertheless. The remake I'm told stays true to Kings original novel.

That's it for now!!;)

i also find it difficult to put his books down after i start reading them and i can picture them in increadible detail from his descriptions, ive read Christine, Gerald's Game, Dreamcatcher and It, all of which i thought were excellent and very absorbing

as far as films go i love Christine, The Green Mile, the Dark Half, It, The Shining (Kubrick and Miniseries) and Misery all of which are excellent

i thought Trucks was terrible

i cant remember if ive seen any others ATM

he is very good at establishing and developing characters, as with IT and i find i really care about what happens to them
