i coulda swore that i read about this movie on this forum but since i cant find it with the search, i dont geuss i did........but if there is a thread about this movie please direct me to it

anyways...
i bought this for 1$ yesterday on VHS, and watched it last night.......it is a pretty good movie with great atmosphere and at leaste 2 scenes that actualy gave the creeps...........both involving disapearing people..............and there is a Psycho like twist half thru the movie that caught me off gaurd..........there are some flaws tho, like the story becomeing redundant and silly at times........but overall it was a pretty good movie..........anyone else seen this?

Bizarre coincidence. I was going to watch Horror Hotel tonight, and review it tomorrow. It looks intriguing enough.

This is one of my personal favorites that I grew up with back in the day, on chiller theater channel 11 New York. I also had the opportunity of seeing it at the local theater, on a double feature with the Return of Dracula!

Horror Hotel has cool atmosphere, a coven of witches, swirling fog and mists! Plus Christopher Lee as the sinster professor driscoll, the original title of the film was "City of the Dead"! I hope that you like it count, this film still holds up quite well IMHO. I own the dvd and it is a beautiful letterbox transfer, I have never seen this movie look that good!

Just beware the hour of 13...:cool:

Awesome movie I only wish I could find a copy on dvd, my vhs copy is kindof rough in a couple of spots.

CarrieCarrie, you can find Horror Hotel on a double feature DVD distributed by Diamond entertainment. It is paired with Carnival of Souls! It is very cheap at Best Buy for $5.99, the transfer is very clean and crisp (Letterboxed too!) I think that the source material was taken from the elite dvd.:)

This is the version that I own, and I found the transfer to be lacking. Maybe it's because I haven't seen it on VHS. Anyway, I adored it. P.S. My VHS copy is simply the dreadful scream gems version, bloody awful if you ask me. Choppy and grainy. Yikes!
