im tryin to make a real slower type cd for my jammin.

The songs i got so far are:

3 Doors Down: Here Without You
Metallica: Nothing Else Matters
Guns N' Roses: November Rain
Guns N' Roses: Don't Cry

those are 4 of my all time fav songs also. I just need some good suggestions of songs that are in that same vein. Even some good rap, country, pop... any type of tunes that are slower, more emotional in that sort of vein.

Thanks

We'll if you want slower rap, go with early OutKast, especially the extremely introspective album ATLiens. Particularly the song Elevators.

And if you want a more challenging batch of slow songs, try the post-modern torch of Portishead, like the track Glory Box. Or more trip-hop like Tricky's Hell is Around the Corner (which just oozes along and drips out of the speakers), Poems (which just pounds itself into your head) and Goldfrapp's equally oozing Deer Stop.

Just thought you might like some more out-there suggestions, although its likely you'll hate them all.

Or what seems more to your taste, Metallica's Fade to Black and Black Sabbath's Solitude.

I'd try The Shins; they're kind of like a modern day Beach Boys, only, you know, not insipid.

Radiohead - The Bends

Hight and Dry; Fake Plastic Trees

Basicly the whole album.

I'm probably a bit late here...

Goldfrapp - Lovely Head; Deep Honey

Probably anything by Massive Attack. Out of all their albums, I'd recommend 'Mezzanine,' although you mind find that one a bit too mellow. If so, 'Protection' and 'Blue Lines' are definitely worth a shot. If it's tracks you're after, I'd go for:

Teardrop (from Mezzanine)
Karmacoma (from Protection)
Sly (from Protection)
Protection (I don't need to tell you, do I? ;))
Heat Miser (from Protection)
Unfinished Sympathy (from Blue Lines)
Daydreaming (from Blue Lines)

The grandaddy of them all:

Air Supply - All Out of Love

Goddamn if the song isn't horrible, but the pure cheesiness of it makes it excellent. Whatever the hell that means.

I agree 100%. I feel no shame in admitting that this is one of my all-time favourites.

"Hello, I'm Natalie, and I like 'I'm All Outta Love.' "

A classic.

Dude, if you're gonna go with Behind Blue Eyes (which is tops), can you at least go with the original version by The Who?

Please don't encourage Fred Durst.
