With the very recent passing of former president Ronald Reagan, who passed away June 5th, I just wanted to take this time to post my sympathy towards his family and my appreciate and respect towards him. I believed him to be a great man and great president, and just want to open the forum to other schmoes opinions as well.

I can't say I agree with his politics, but he is a man I had tremendous respect for. My most sincere sympathy goes out to his wife and children.

A great man and a great President. He loved his family, the people, and his beliefs. He put his heart into everything he did and he lead us with unwavering determination. May you rest in peace, Mr. President.

I'm not terribly familiar with his politics, but I know he meant a lot to several people and seemed like an honorable man.

R.I.P. :(

My history class was just taking about him the day before he died. He was a good man.

He was a good man but not a good president, in my opinion. The biggest compliment I can give him is that he had one of the few truly long lasting successful happy marriages out there.

I am sorry for the family's loss.

I don't agree with the way Reagan handled many things such as the economy, but after reading many articles about him, I have respect for what he did. He always stayed true to his convictions, had great charisma and a sense of humor, and helped to end the Cold War. I can see why many Americans loved him back in the 80's, I probably would have been in the minority though.
