Incase you don't know, so far, they've made:
-Ghost Ship
-Fear Dot Com
-Th13teen Ghosts
-Gothika
-House on Haunted Hill
In my opinion, the only good movie they've made so far is Ghost Ship. Fear Dot Com and Th13teen Ghosts were pretty bad movies.
Even though they don't make the best movies, they are still one of my fav production companies for sum reason.
Their next movie is called The House of Wax starring Elisha Cuthbert and Paris Hilton.

1) House on Haunted Hill (5/10)
2) Gothika (5/10)
3) Thirteen Ghosts (5/10)
4) Ghost Ship (4/10)
5) FearDotCom (3/10)
I first gave Gothika a 6/10, but after some thinking, it doesn't deserve it. Dark Castle sucks so far, but I still enjoy watching the movies. They are fun, not good movies, but fun ones. I'm interested in the upcoming House of Wax, I really like Elisha Cuthbert and Paris Hilton is hot but a bitch, and if she gets killed in the movie I'll see it opening day ;).

It depends. I loved House on Haunted Hill, thought Thir13en Ghosts was okay, Ghost Ship wasn't awful, and I haven't seen Gothika.

Most of them range from really shitty to barely mediocre. I am not a big fan of what they come up with.

HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL - 7/10 (B) - Mindless horror fun. A lot of good scares, lots of gore, and very entertaining overall. Many good actors involved as well.
THIRTEEN GHOSTS - 7/10 (B-) - Very creepy and has a bunch of good scares. I hated the family aspect of this flick though, as it really didn't seem to fit. The ending was also incredibly cheesy.
GOTHIKA - 5/10 (C) - What a disappointment. I was not scared at all through the whole movie, and some of it was completely laughable. Halle Berry was very good though, a good performance in an otherwise mediocre movie.
GHOST SHIP - 5/10 (C-) - After a fantastic opening scene, this movie goes downhill fast with a lot of cheap scares and some cheesy performances. The ending is pretty good though.
FEAR DOT COM - 2/10 (F) - A truly disgusting, offensive and unscary example of horror filmmaking at its worst. This movie is basically an hour and a half of people getting tortured. I was getting physically sick watching it. I was not entertained in any way, shape or form. One of the worst films I have ever seen.

Ghost Ship wasnt all that bad (a six, if you must know) Gothika was just plain boring (same goes for 13 ghosts) and House On Haunted hill just gave me a headache for one reason or another. Overall:
Best: Ghost Ship
Worst: Gothika

-House on Haunted Hill FearDotCom isn't Dark Castle.
However, "House on Haunted Hill" (9/10) is a favorite of mine (top 20). "Ghost Ship" (4/10) I hate with passion, "Thir13en Ghosts" (5/10) I enjoyed in a level and "Gothika" (6/10) was horribly dissapointing.

No, Dark Castle has only done those four.
But I forgive you because you like Family Guy.

I enjoyed Ghost Ship and House on Haunted Hill. 13 Ghosts was a so-so movie and Gothika sucked.
Basically that's what I thought in a nutshell.
1. Ghost Ship * * * 7/10 B
2. House on Haunted Hill * * * 7/10 B
3. 13 Ghosts * * 5/10 C+
4. Gothika * * 4/10 C-
I love Elisha Cuthbert but House of Wax does not sound promising.

Yep, unfortunately House on Haunted Hill is the only one they've gotten right so far.
It sucks because I REALLY, REALLY wanted to like Dark Castle-- Thirteen Ghosts could've been soooo much better than it was. Ghost Ship I finally saw recently, and I guess simply because I wasn't expecting much, I wasn't TOO disappointed.
Funny story about Gothika-- I saw it in the theater, and I dunno why... maybe because of the boo-scares that got me, or something, I dunno.... but I actually enjoyed it. I bought it when it came out on DVD, got really drunk with my movie-watching buddy at his house, and was completely STUNNED by how bad it was. Alcohol gave me clarity about how much Halle Berry sucks. That's a first.

HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL: Some nice visuals, but a weak storyline and a ludicrous ending. 4/10
THIR13EN GHOSTS: Headache inducing editing, loud shrill sound effects, terribly annoying characters, huge plot holes, a despicable ending, shall I continue? 3/10
GHOST SHIP: Slightly more entertainment value than the previous two, but still crap in the sense of that there's no story and scares. 4/10
Haven't seen GOTHIKA.

The only one Ive really really liked is Gothika but sadly even though it looked slick and was entertaining, it had plot holes the size of which not even God has heard of.
House on Haunted Hill was their other "good" one.
The rest of em suck to kingdom come.

They might not be great movies, but most of them are just fun horror flicks. I loved House on Haunted Hill and most of the other ones.

"unfortunately House on Haunted Hill is the only one they've gotten right so far."
Maybe because they hired a director (William Malone) who loves the horror genre whatever his other failings.
The director of 13 Ghosts & Ghost Ship Steve Beck openly admitted he only did those flicks in the hope of getting a "proper" directing gig.

I bet you I'm the only true crazy, obsessed dark castle fan on this forum. I love House on Haunted Hill and Ghost Ship with a passion as they're 2 of my top fave movies.
Thir13en Ghosts was amazing with the makeup and Gothika was a disapointment. Funny thing is, Gothika got more credit than any previous DC film and it was the less gorier, more boring one.
Top actors in the worst DC film ... compared to the under actors who did a great job! ^^0
I tell ya, these high payed actors seem over rated to me, though I do like Robert Downey. Don't get me wrong.
As for Dark Castle: Joel Silver himself said he just made the movies for excitement and has knowledge that they aren't the greatest movies in the world because he of course, based a lot of his inspiration from Mr. William Castle himself.
Some people need to calm down and realize that movies aren't real and stop being so hard assed. This isn't directed towards you guys, don't hate me. I'm just yelling at the critics for they're horrible discussion in movie viewing.
FearDotCom was directed by the same guy who directed House on Haunted Hill (William Malone) but Dark Castle did not produce that film.
Dreamcatcher was a Castle Rock production.

House on Haunted Hill - 7/10
Thirteen Ghosts - 5/10(Good cast, good f/x, baaaad script.. entertaining, if nothing else)
Ghost Ship - 4/10( great concept, piss poor execution)
Gothika -n/a
Seems to me that Dark Castle is pretty watered down, ho-hum horror that can be enjoyed if in the right mood. Pretty weak otherwise...
